The more that he continued talking — the more that his grip tightened, now threatening to break bone at this rate. Until he started yelling for help, causing a few heads to turn and startling him in turn as well. In just that moment, as he turned around to see who, who heard, who saw— his grip on him loosened considerably, before letting go completely — the hands dissipating into the air.
He — he planned this from the beginning. ( and he cursed his lack of foresight, but rage had the habit of dulling the other senses. )
Thankfully ( or not — news tends to spread quickly in here, no matter how quiet it was ), only two have seemed to notice the sudden commotion.
He didn’t know much about the first one, besides the few tidbits that he heard from others — like how he was the equivalent of God — but regardless of who or what he was, he was watching from the other side of the room with mild bemusement, savoring the current commotion at hand.
And her— Miyasaki — the one who was jaded beyond belief, looked up before her expression hardened immediately — fingers tightening around her book, before she turned her head away, not quite believing what she just saw.
and all that he did was stand in shock. ( he went too far, didn’t he. )
Steel was giving him too much credit, although it’s not entirely unwanted. Yanase hadn’t actually planned this far ahead, and had just wanted to see the man squirm, but then Steel had made it too easy to set up a situation like this.
He pulls himself up, presenting an expression of fear to anyone who cared to look, although he does glance around though, to take note of reactions.
Hasegawa, sitting towards the door to the Sanctuary, staring in disbelief. He bites his lip and, like Miyasaki, turns away, clearly trying to comprehend what he had seen.
And there’s a thud near the front door that draws Yanase’s gaze to it. Daisuke stands there, shock plastered across his face as he stares at them. Fruits scatter out of the plastic bag at his feet.
Yanase has only ever been nice and good to him, so evidently the boy was trying to wrap his mind around the sight. He manages to keep his expression fearful, hiding his amusement much better than blondie over there.
And then, there’s an audible click. The dial by the door behind Daisuke had moved to another color, and there was the door opening again, and who else should step through but a certain redhead.
And judging by the blank expression on his face once he steps past Daisuke...well, this entire incident was turning out in Yanase’s favor after all.
