@mountains-burn-red-blog
Morning.
do you want to scare?
... Scare others?
It never bothered me. I wouldn't say I don't want to.
That'd be lying.
Do I scare you.
If I set a house on fire, would that make something happen.
What if I set a person on fire.
Like, seriously. I can feel my skin aging on my face.
I try to get back into the swing of things and what do I get.
Nothing.
I'm destroyed.
im pretty sure I'll never be happy with the theme of this blog oh my god iM REDOING IT AGAIN DONT LOOK )
If you guys are visiting, that means you're bringing, like. Snacks. Of the crunchy variety. That I get to eat.
And maybe share. But that's super debatable.
// He gave a light tip of his hat down, the only clear hello he'll be giving. //
I'm Red.
You probably know that.
HELLO FRIENDS I SAW THAT I GOT A FEW ASKS I WILL ANSWER TOMORROW!! first day of work as a summer camp councilor tuckered me out omg ))

Send me a name/place/event or situation from my character’s past and they will just talk about that one thing.

hello i am here and im gonna have a nap bUT DOES ANYONE WANT A STARTER OR SOMETHIN ILL CHECK WHEN IM BAAACK
"… Huh."
"You know, I could, like. Swear that I know some of you. Are you visiting for a reason, or."
There was a moment of shuffling, gloved fists stuffing into worn jean pockets to twist nervously. He hides ever so slightly behind his hat, scarlet hues narrowed into slits. There’d been so many visitors lately-
"We could battle, I guess. But. Do we have to.”
"Although the idea of battling such an esteemed trainer as yourself does sound tempting, you seem reluctant about it, so it would be to rude to force you to do so. "
"To be honest, I’d prefer if we didn’t. I used to, uh. I’d say I used to battle a lot, but I guess you know who I am."
Tense shoulders rose and fell, sighing deeply and ever so slowly raising his head to make eye contact. There was a terrible amount of guilt trailing him whenever he seemed reluctant about a battle, but, he’d never been one to be very selfless.
"… Sorry. And you are."
"You’re quite famous in Sinnoh; Naturally I would be aware of who you are. Although we haven’t formally met before…"
She silently wonders if referring to a stranger so familiarly is a bit presumptuous of her. However, there’s no way of taking anything back, so she simply goes along with it.
"It’s quite alright. And I haven’t introduced myself yet — I apologize for my lack of courtesy. I am Lady Platinum Berlitz, it’s a pleasure."
Her words nearly sound robotic as she rambles off introductions; she’s run through this entire drill many times and it has become more of a monotonous task than anything else.
"... 's fine. We've met formally now, right."
Learning a name eases his anxiety just a tad, and steel rod muscles slowly melted into something more comfortable, his stance adopting that of a comfortable teenager and less of marble. ... It's unnerving to hear that further regions still knew of him, however-- Didn't his supposed death clean that up? He'd have to talk to Green about that later.
"Good to meet you. Do you prefer, like."
He shrugged.
"The whole title. Or is Platinum alright. Also, how much do you know about the legendaries where you're from. I like them a lot. And I'd like to hear."
I just don’t apply myself to anything.
// Gasping laughs oh my god that sounds so so bad when said out loud but it’s true— //
What they do is really different. But…. It seems cool. Not that I’d want to be a ranger instead of a trainer but, like. Still cool.
// It takes quite a bit of a personal pep talk but he does finally raise himself off of Green’s hand, side eyeing him harsh when he nearly made the quip on mystery dungeons. //
Totally not dumb. It’s a thing. And we’ll find it just because you almost said that.
// Whines. //
… They use the legendaries? Like, to battle?
That sort of response is so blunt and painful that Green has to bark out a laugh just to cover his tail. "Yeah, no kidding! But," he quickly adds, "but don’t think I’ll let you forget that what you have applied yourself to was…er…more or less of a success. You don’t suck at kissing anymore.” snerks! Were it a year prior Green might have off-handedly mentioned the fact that Red succeeded despite no application had been the bane of his existence for some time. But he’s older and wiser, and maybe later on he’ll just eat the last ice cream bar in the freezer. Green had learned to appreciate small victories when it came to Red; they added up in the long run. Another thing he would always appreciate was Red’s curiosity about the unknown. Green had little time for that, but he could vicariously enjoy it. "Oh, so you know for sure huh? And how do we go about finding this magical place, mister dungeon explorer?" he squeezes a little with the most endearing expression, just to spite Red’s hard look. "What would you even do?" He nods, a little incredulous in expression. “So I’ve heard. One has a Rayquaza, that I know for sure. But it’s too far from here—just far enough that I don’t care to find out if it’s just a hoax.”
"Is that my only success then. I'm hurt. Honestly."
A cold breeze blew through their small camping spot and Red bundled up the thick blanket around his shoulders. He could deal with the cold, but that didn't mean he had to fight through it-- Especially not here, and not now.
Concerning the mystery dungeons, Red's lips twitched into a quiet smile, nearly laughing but not quite tipping over the scale past a smirk. It was a story he'd been told as a child, but some place so lovely as a realm where all Pokemon spoke and traveled and journeyed and discovered seemed far too charming for him to let go--
"We'll just, like. Find it. It's gotta be somewhere. Like everything is."
Red, no.
"... There's no way. Maybe Manaphy or something. But not one of the dragons. It's like pulling teeth getting them to even pay attention to me. There's no way someone can have them, like. Battle. Actually battling."
// His sigh was content, gently nuzzing the others hand before placing a bit of his head weight there, making sure he stayed put or else his head would fall. Ponders. //
Always wanna go somewhere new.
Like, always.
Just don’t know where to go this time. Feel like we’ve covered a lot of ground— I’ve been looking at where the Pokemon rangers train, though.
And like, even heard legends about this super far away island where the Pokemon talk and investigate dungeons.
… We should definitely go somewhere new.
// Nod nod. //
I know, I know. I think I get caught up in things, even when I don’t want to do them. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. How do you get by just floating, huh. // it amazes him, that Red can sit still for so long. But he always seems the more content of the pair. Why was that? // Yeah, I remember I stumbled upon a few Rangers when looking for places to train in Unova. They do like to go to some remote places. // he laughs at the next part A place where Pokemon talk? You gotta know how du—crazy that sounds. You sure you didn’t pick up some video game or children’s book? I mean, wouldn’t Pokemon who live in dungeons just live there? What’s the point of investigating? // he wonders if he’s being too harsh, and shrugs it off Ok, ok. What about the island where everything looks like it’s frozen in the past? These guys fight over land with Pokemon, but it’s all a show. It sounds dumb, but there are supposedly legendary Pokemon used by some of the warlords.
I just don't apply myself to anything.
// Gasping laughs oh my god that sounds so so bad when said out loud but it's true-- //

"We could battle, I guess. But. Do we have to.”
Red, shut the hell up. I’ll smack you sideways before you can even manage to lay a finger on your Pokemon. [There’s a subtle pause, just enough time for Green to heave enough air into his lungs to huff it right out, face his head to the side. Jade irises flicker, dart at the vacant space, scanning for any excuses or clever remarks concealed in between the blades of mown grass, the creaky door hinge, and eventually in the patch of skin between Red’s eyes, just above his nose.
His left hand raises and gently jingles a plastic bag with an equally plastic box of cookies.]
Daisy made some extras and the story ends here with me handing these to you instead of your mom, minus the sappy, “You’re like a mom to me,” and, “Thanks for being there all these years.” Confident you’ll figure out why.
"Would it kill you to be, like. Pleasant. Would that really be like pulling teeth."
His tone is even, not daring to waver on the abrupt pauses in his speech. ... The creases on his lips deepened, however, breaking his smooth mask, and he extracted one of his hands from their safe haven in his holey pockets to reach forward and snatch the cookies.
"... Tell Daisy I say thanks. Or I could go over myself, I guess. But you'll probably rip my head off. Or aren't you all independent and cool now so you don't live with her anymore."
With an awkward pop that Red didn't seem to notice or acknowledge, he dug into the bag to open the container and fumble for one of the cookies from inside, chewing on it as he leaned on the door frame. He's as nonchalant as possible, deep ruby for once confident in the face of few he considered close.
Deep breaths.
Mhm Sure they don't *points at a group of girls quietly giggling at a magazine, the word..or name "Red" could be heard*
...
//AGGRESSIVE SIDE EYEING. //
Frightening.
Do they know I'm a grouchy teenager that likes the cold, yet.
I’m not surprised, for some reason. Besides, stars are different from myths. Even older. [ he’s really content, brows knitting together as he tries to picks dots out of the sky. Frees one arm and points. ] That one if I remember right, is Ursaring Minor and Teddiursa Major. Just a Pokemon and their baby. If you squint, it looks like she’s picking it up. Then there’s Rapideaus, a guy who apparently loved Rapidash so much that he traded his legs for the Pokemon’s body. Weird, right. Reminds me of the Pokefan in Vermillion to be honest. Then there’s…Gliscorpio, and I don’t see it but there’s one based on Mew somewhere. I’ll have to get you a book one day, I don’t actually know a lot of them. I met a guy when I first went through Mt. Moon—he was obsessed with this stuff, so that’s the only reason I can point these out.
Look at you, all knowledgeable.
// Honestly, Red was rather impressed— There’d been a few times where he’d been offered impromptu lessons on the constellations but from one reason or another, he’d never taken them up. These were human stories, something that the Legends haden’t created, so he couldn’t learn it from them. //
// Wiggles more comfortably under the blanket. //
's cool, though. Definitely wouldn't see Pokemon in a few bright dots. So good on them.
Just full of everything you could ever possibly want. I’m perfect, haven’t we established this already. [ a weak laugh, mainly because Red was heavy and it would hurt to laugh too loudly. And he seemed comfortable, no point in disturbing that.] Just people with too much time on their hands. I’d never be able to see ‘em either. [ quick hair kiss; his hand wanders to Red’s cheek, settling there. The fire is warm and red is, for the first time, warm and so are the blankets—maybe his own body heat was compensating for both of them but it wasn’t as though he minded in the least.] So hey, what’s been on your mind lately? Any new places y’ wanna go, things you wanna try? We’re a little stagnant here, but I’ve been too busy to think of much. I bet you’d love going to the Daycare.
// His sigh was content, gently nuzzing the others hand before placing a bit of his head weight there, making sure he stayed put or else his head would fall. Ponders. //
