A part of him still cared about him, he still wanted to try to help him. To try to comfort him, understand this. But another part of him, the part that he wanted to enhance told him that Connor could have asked for help. He could have talked to a doctor, he could have talked to Tyrell, he could have done something. But here he was, three years later and he had not changed at all. Did he really want to be associated with that kind of people, when he had left his hometown — if he could really call it that — because he thought that certain people in his life, never attempted to get out of the awful situation they were in?
He gave him a polite, rather obviously forced smile and took the coffee that was finally ready. ❝Well, I am no longer an intern. They hired me.❞ he said as if this was the only obvious choice for E-Corp. ❝Where have you been? Did you just decide to…exist somewhere else?❞ his tone was rather cold, but in all honesty, Connor was like he wasn’t yelling at him. He didn’t want to cause a scene, of course.
there’s a hard line on connor’s jaw . tyrell’s tone was like marble , cold & hard & he’s got a good reason for it . connor was a coward & he ran away when the first opportunity of happiness arises . he was scared he’d ruin that & just disappeared from tyrell’s life . ❝ oh ? well , that’s good for you . congrats , tyrell . just another cog in the cooperate machine , er nice . ❞ admittedly , he’s been an inpatient at a psych ward his mom provided him with & after that , he’s been staying at home with his mom & larry . ❝ in a hospital -- for awhile , yeah . my mom put me as an inpatient & then i moved in back home with my parents & stayed there ever since , so yes , i been existing somewhere else . look , i get that you’re pissed with me . . . you don’t have to -- talk to me or whatever , i’ll leave you alone from now on . ❞
