Shout out to Todd Brotzman, gotta be one of my favorite genders

“I need to ask you a question,” he says carefully. “And I need you to not freak out.”

Amanda raises her eyebrows. “No promises,” she answers, which is more or less the answer he thought he’d receive.

“We’re in public,” he points out. “And I come here often enough with the other person in my apartment that I don't want it somehow getting back to him.”

“Fine.” The sigh might be overdramatic, but something in her face changes. Perhaps she thinks he's going to say something deadly serious. He's not sure but either way, he knows that she means it.

Dirk thinks about it. “If one was to propose to your brother… how do you think one would go about doing it?”
