jaden had won , or at least in his opinion he had . his friend shouldn’t have backed down although she didn’t have much of a choice , for the moment the line of sight was dropped he shot his own splash of paint beside her foot – it was close enough to splatter her just slightly , but not to maim . “ don’t fuck with a gremlin , she’ll eat you alive for sure . did you think this bachelor party would be easy ?? “ 

She knew she was beat-she had him right up to this point, and Xenia was close-so, so close. “Actually? Yeah, I kinda did,” she admitted. She gasped when he shot his splash of paint beside her foot, making her glare at him. “I thought I was gonna waltz in here, try and win and also celebrate you getting married, but it looks like I was wrong...”

Kit had been taking a much-needed walk through the park, having had her nose stuck in her college coursework since the crack of dawn. She could have sworn her eyes had gone completely square, and the only solution was fresh air. Said square-eyed-ness had her zoning out completely at some point. She hadn’t been paying much attention to her surroundings until she heard a voice from… the ground? Kit looked down with a frown, taking a quick step out of the line of the sun.

“I can’t offer any food I’m afraid,” Kit replied with a dazed smile, stuffing her hands on her pockets. “Unless you want half a pack of gum and a Tootsie Roll?”

Xenia slowly sat up to look at her, frowning a little bit, but she couldn’t even stay mad for long, even when her stomach started to grumble out loud, reminding her that she hadn’t had anything to eat since breakfast. “I’ll deal with a Tootsie Roll,” she said. “It’ll take the edge off for a while before I go and actually get some food.”

Korra has exchanged some texts with Xenia in the morning to make sure she was doing well after the fun time she’d been having at the wedding. Since her friend has mentioned that she might be going to the park and Korra was doing yoga in the park. So after finishing a session she went around to see if she can spot Xenia. Korra could barely stop the giggle when she saw her friend dosing off on the grass, she took a quick snap for evidence and made her way to Xenia, laughing when she hear the others reaction to the young woman making a shade for Xenia. Korra quickly rummaged through her bag and carefully threw a packet of crisps on Xenia. “Here you go, something to keep you up” she smiled at her friend.

She grabbed the packet of crisps, feeling much better now that her friend was here. “You’re a lifesaver,” Xenia said with a huge smile on her face. She had been texting her friend that morning and she was glad she was here-Xenia was so close to just going somewhere else, but her body wouldn’t move, so she dozed off, and now she was awake. “Finally you’re here-now we go get some drinks! Or just lay here and do nothing!” which she wanted to do today or forever.

Hodaya continued laughing, but this time, with her pack of seltzer in her cart, as not to drop it. She then peered into the distance, turning to Xenia and saying, quietly, “Here’s the store manager now. Maybe peanut butter was the tipping point for management.” 

She turned over her shoulder to see the store manager coming over. Xenia whipped her head back, trying to control her laughter but couldn’t as her shoulders started to shake and her laughter came out as a snort. “Come on,” she said as she started to move away. “Before I laugh so hard that I might do something else to make it way worse.”

Benjamin hadn’t gone to the wedding either, he didn’t know the groom well enough and he was quite busy with work to even attend. The bar was a lot of maintenance both financially paper wise as just pouring drink wise. Though Benji was happy enough that it was going well. 

He chuckled when Xenia called him out. “In fact I do-” He pointed at the cool box he had with him. “Got alcohol free and just plain old alcohol.”

Hearing Benjamin say that he had some alcohol made Xenia shoot up from her spot and went over to the cool box. “You are a lifesaver,” she said with a grin, pulling him into a hug before looking at her choices. She pulled out a bottle of beer and popped the top off and a long sip of it, getting relaxed. “Now that...that hit the spot.”

Due to family circumstances, Fiona hadn’t been able to attend the wedding, which really had been a pity. It must have been nice, though she couldn’t say for sure. Well, it wasn’t like she could see the husband and the bride in all of their glory and she didn’t really enjoy loud music too well if she couldn’t prepare herself from where it would be coming from. 

She had been wandering around for a bit, listening to her phone guiding her to her destination when she suddenly heard someone call out to her. “What? I uh not really no?” She mumbled a little awkwardly. “I can ask my phone for a place where you can eat though?” She wondered how sunlight would look like. Her mother had said brightly but even that was hard to imagine.

She frowned a bit, but got over it. She wasn’t about to kill anyone for something to drink, but she was very hungry since she forgot to eat lunch. “Sure,” she said with a little shrug. She would get her phone out, but she was so lazy today that she didn’t want to get up and do anything, just relax. “I don’t even know where I can get some food around here.”’

“That’s alright.” Marco gave the other a soft smile. “I’ve gotten mixed replies from this photo and a couple of people I wanted to punch in the face. The ones who do know her, won’t tell me anything. Which is kind of frustrating. I just want to find my damn daughter.”

She nodded. Even though she didn’t know who his daughter was, Xenia hoped e found her. “Well,” she said, thinking about it. “Do you need any help finding her?” she had nothing else to do today but to go back home and finish writing an article, but she was getting quite tired of staring at her screen, writing away until she fell asleep on it.

“Huh?” The older male replied when he heard a voice. As he looked down, he noticed that he was standing in the girl’s line of the sun and he gave her a soft, awkward chuckle. “My bad. I was trying to see if I could get some signal to make a phone call. Apparently the phone can work anywhere but the moment I want to walk the track, no service, no where.” He groaned. “I don’t have food, but I have a flask of vodka in my car. I was about to throw it out.”

She shook her head when he apologized. “You’re good,” she assured him with a little smile. “Yeah, phone service around her sucks,” Xenia told him, remembering why she rarely be on her phone when she comes to the park. “But I’ll take the vodka and tell you the best spot to get some great service. I had to do that to make sure I didn’t miss a call from New York once, so I know how that is.”

Zelda shook her head, waving the concern away. “no… no i’m fine” she rubbed her head where it ached slightly. “My fault. I should have paid more attention” she said shoving her change into her wallet, “S’all good. Are you alright?” she asked, twisting the cap from her water bottle and taking a long sip.

Xenia shook her head. “No, you’re fine, it’s me that should apologize,” she said, nodding when she was asked if she was alright. “I’m fine,’ she assured her with a small smile. “Nothing’s chipped or fell, so I’m good.’ Xenia tried to give her an assuring smile, but somehow it didn’t reach her cheeks.

Xenia definitely had the job that most people could only really dream about having and Minnie was definitely one of those people which was really funny to think about considering she was better with her hands in terms of making things then she was writing things down constantly; “You definitely needed to have an interview” she laughed lightly knowing no job would hire without one; “I don’t have one now, I’m halfway through completing a Bachelor of Fashion Design BUT-…” she paused for effect before speaking; “I have created some pieces here and there for people that I am happy to show you” wanting to know if she was still interested.

She had some pieces here and there. It was fine to Xenia anyway-she wanted something new and exciting to see, and she was still so excited anyway. “Okay, come on, let’s go,” Xenia started checking her things out as soon as she got to the cash register, still too excited to see Minnie’s pieces. “I wanna see them right now.” she couldn’t even contain her excitement as she started to bounce on one foot then the other, so excited to see some kind of fashion.

“Goodness,” Xenia muttered as she stretched out on the grass and closed her eyes. The wedding was fun, and she was a bit tired, so she went to the park, to stretch out, catch some sun, and also just relax. “Now this...even though it isn’t the beach, this is the life.” she said with a small smile, closing her eyes as she started to dose off. It didn’t take her long to go to sleep, but she did open one eye when the sunlight disappeared. “Oy...” she groaned, open one eye. “My sunlight...unless you have something to eat or drink, then I’ll get up.” @atlanta-rpgstarters​

Today had started normally enough but it had quickly turned sour and she’d spent the last few hours moping in her apartment, snuggling her cat and overall just feeling sorry for herself. She needed to get out, go somewhere and stop before her behavior turned into self sabotage. She walked through the park, fresh air always helped her feel better, always helped clear her head. The heat set in quick, needing something to drink and she did not want to drink from the fountain so she moved to one of the side carts selling food and ordered a bottle of water. She grabbed the water, attempting to put her change in her wallet when it got away from her and scattered across the ground, normally it wouldn’t have been a big deal but right now it felt like everything was going wrong and she cursed to herself, bending down to quickly scoop up the coins. As she stood her head bumped straight into someone and she let out a groan, again something that wouldn’t have necessarily been a huge deal but the timing was awful. “I’m… I’m sorry” she said quickly attempting to keep her emotions in check, knowing how embarrassing it would be to cry just because she bumped into someone.

Xenia came in the restaurant to get her something to drink and work on her article when someone bumped into her. “Oh no, you’re good,” she assured her with a small not. “Are you...okay?” she asked, checking to make sure that she didn’t do anything else. “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

The thud of the punching bag was comforting, in a way, and Scout found himself getting lost in it, the repetitive motion easy to just continue to do.  Working out had always been sort of therapeutic for the man, because it was easy to turn off his brain, which was on overdrive lately.  Clipping the bag once more, his knuckle split open from the repeated abuse, and he let out a loud hiss, sucking air between his teeth and he pulled his hand to his chest, the pain wrenching him out of the place he had been in.

“Shit - do you know where the first aid kit is?  I’ve never had to use it….”  He felt pathetic, and like a spectacle at the gym, even though probably no one really noticed, save for the person close enough to ask.  “I don’t really think they’ll like it if I bleed all over the floor.”

Xenia was hitting one of the punching bags at the gym, getting lost and letting her brain disolve into nothingness until she heard the question of where the first aid kit was. “I know where it is,” she said, moving away from her punching bag and started to hunt down for the first aid. She had to ask where until she found it, grabbing it and going back over to him. She passed it to him before she looked at his split knuckle. “That gotta fuckin’ hurt...”

Marco knew that he technically was meant to be dead, but being in Atlanta did feel kind of like he was home again. The three men that were hired by his mother to get rid of him, luckily all were gone or so he was hoping that they were actually gone. So, now he was trying to find his daughter again. He had to find her, of course. After hearing some of the things she had to go through once his mother had taken her from him, he was angry but most importantly, he just needed to see his baby girl. “Um, hey. Have you seen this girl?” He asked the other as he showed them a picture of Mackenzie that he had on his phone.

Xenia was just walking out of the store, a bag in her hand when he came up. “What-’ she started before she looked at the photo of the girl. She tried to search her mind to see if she had met her, but didn’t. “Sorry,” she said, shaking her head. “I have never seen that girl in my life.”

it was a standoff and , although he had no intention of shooting , it was still a bit of fun to have a threat stare him right in the face . “ you’ll have a very angry little blonde if you did pull the trigger , you know that right ?? i call her my little gremlin because she can be that dangerous sometimes . if you get her wet she grows scales and bites your kneecaps , “ if he came home with bruises over his face there was sure to be stern words from his future wife , but that hadn’t threatened him enough to back down . 

Fffffffffffuuuuuccckkkkk.....he was right. “I know,” she said, her trigger finger shaking just a bit. “I don’t want to make your little gremin mad if I splatter you all over your lovely face-who would she kiss on y’alls wedding day?” Xenia teased with a small smile. She really didn’t want to get his fiancee upset, so slowly, she released the trigger.

“Oh no way!” Minnie exclaimed as she was told what the other’s profession was; “I could have probably read or looked at your stuff in the past. Like this just blows my mind” she always read Elle and Cosmo growing up and the fact she was talking to an employee who worked their blew her mind; “That must be a dream job though-… how did you manage to land that?” knowing that opportunities like that didn’t just fall from the sky; “if you are still working there in a few years time, I would love for you to check out my fashion pieces and maybe write about them to get my name out there or something-… would definitely pay you for that”

She nodded with a little laugh. “I don’t even remember,” Xenia admitted. “Just one day, I guess, someone saw my work and they contacted me, asked me to work for them, and it’s been like this ever since. Wait-I had to do an interview, and then they hired me.’ And she was so nervous about it when she came to New York City, that she thought she was going to mess up, but she didn’t. “Wiat you have a fashion line?!” Xenia stopped when she heard that, eyes widening in excitement. “Can I see it now? Like, right now?”

Food was definitely a better option to go with here, because the last thing Minnie wanted was for this fight to get any more intense then it already was and for her to be dragged into it because she didn’t prevent the other from her actions; “That sounds like a good idea-… how was your week been? I’m not too sure if you told me at the beach what you did for a job” exiting the place of business and trying to distract the other from doing something she probably shouldn’t.

She nodded as she went to stand in line to get her things checked out. ‘Oh I write for Elle and Cosmo magazines,” Xenia answered. “For Elle I do their website, and for Cosmo I just write an article about whatever subject they can give me, or I’ll just write one and see if they accept it or not.” And she’ll be staying in the house, morning and night, just writing and working till she feels like stopping. “It’s easy and sometimes hard, and there are some nights where I fall asleep on my laptop, and I have to break away from it so I can do something else or just go to bed.”
