© MOVECHO 2012 - Design . Arq. José Ferreira “To-Mollino” is an unexpected tribute to Carlo Mollino (1905/1973), the creator, among several static and dynamic architectures (e.g. the “Bisiluro” automobile), of important pieces of design such as the table “Real”. Designed in the forties and produced by Zanotta, it coexists in a special relationship of visual empathy with the “To-Mollino” table. Without being a formal reference for its conceptual process - the differences of the constructive and aesthetical options being obvious – their unpredictable encounter becomes a blind date that justifies the tribute.
On this holiday…search for the Easter eggs in the most unusual place!
SPHERICAL’s timelessness dates back to 1968, when architect Miguel Arruda created a small work of art that would be replicated in large scale in 2010, at the Cultural Center of Belém (CCB) in Lisbon, entitled The Habitable Sculpture, which is at the origin of this piece of furniture. This MOVECHO piece is distinguished by the resilience, ergonomic fit and warm softness that can only be provided by cork.
