#AutumnAsanas Day 15–#Upwardfacingtwofootstaff pose: Dwi Pada Viparita Dandasana Traditionally, you’ll get into this pose by lowering yourself to the ground from wheel. I like the support of a wheel or other bolster to access this heart opener if I’m not feeling strong on a particular day. 🍁Begin in wheel pose. 🍁Bend your arms and place the crown of your head on the floor between your hands. 🍁Keep your chest open and lifted. 🍁On your next exhalation, slide one hand past your ear to cup the back of your head, bringing your weight onto your forearm. Repeat the same action with the other arm, interlacing your fingers behind your head. 🍁With an exhalation, press down through your elbows and wrists and lifting your chest to raise your head off the floor. As your head lifts, press your heels down. 🍁🍁🍁**Of course, your head may seem glued to the floor; if that’s the case, continue to hold the pose where you are. 🍁If you do lift your head, walk the feet away from your hands until your legs are nearly straight; then plant your feet and exhale as you stretch Wheel by @dharmayogawheel Leggings by @fractal.9 Mat by @auroraeyoga Hosts: @justsmileandnod @yogidalia @busybodyyogi & @badwolfyoga Sponsors: @fractal.9 @infinitystrap @mymanifesta @Auroraeyoga @21drops @rerescuedfurnishings
