Be That Easy - Sade

A smooth love ballad that really makes my heart warm. I cry to this song, it means it's good. Sade has such beautiful range in her voice, from low lows to sweet highs. This has more elements of guitar than her usual choice of woodwind instrumentals. I recommend watching her perform live, it showcases her talent so much more than the studio does.

Got To Get You Into My Life - The Beatles

A trademark sound of the 60s in my opinion. The way the horns blend with the pushing drums are just perfect. Slightly reminds you of Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra. This I feel is one of their underrated songs and album. After developing their own sound for a couple years I think this is when they finally found it. It's yearning, but not the sad kind.

Stronger Than Me - Amy Winehouse

I really love how the guitar leads this song. It's so much fun to sing aloud and truly a song I have on repeat too often. Amy's vocals are so unique and so are her music choices. They way Amy would incorporate jazz into pop really helped shape and heightened the genre while she was still living.

BREEZIN' - Masayoshi Takanaka

Originated by George Benson on jazz guitar in 1976, this song feels almost timeless when Takanaka is playing it. Convertible top popped on a summer day type vibes. His solos across all his work is phenomenal. He understands what sounds good and what will stay original to his own sound. This is one of Takanaka's 1994 albums which overall is a great listen.

Album of the week:

Room For Squares - John Mayer

This is the first album released by John Mayer in 2001. The lyrics create vivid images and the guitar instrumentals are quite delectable in my opinion. I really enjoyed this album's production as a whole and the nostalgic feeling it brings seems unmatched to other works from this decade.

I've attached songs that stuck out to me while listening. Neon is overall a song I'd reccomend to anyone trying to get into John Mayer or guitar as a whole.
