My username (suralk) and my url (klarusrandommuf) both have stories so imma explain both!!!!

Lets start with the url.

It's split into two parts, klarus and randommuf. "Klarus" is an accidental misspelling of "Clarus", latin for "clear" or "bright". Now you see, I did not know that until I checked online to see if I spelled it correctly... A few days after I began using the misspelling (lol). I got the word from the name of a character from an anime I was watching on the tv (it was Matoi the Sacred Slayer btw). I just really liked the way it sounds. "Randommuf" is one of THE oldest alias/username I've used (small Suralk has been using it for games that required usernames since grade school) so it's very special to me. Its a shortened version of "random muffin" because most games I played back then had a word limit. Why "random muffin"? I reeeeeaaally liked the asdf movies back then lmao.

Now for my username, which is very obviously just Klarus but backwards. You see, I did use Klarus before but the sona I gave that name to got upgraded to oc so I decided to just change my user to Suralk lol.

So I've been called to action! (•̀ヮ•́)ง⟡

Mine is a reference to the song "Dear 53310761" which itself is a reference to Elvis' time in the army during World War two. If you didn't know, "53310761" was Elvis' serial number.

He isn't my favorite musician (that would be Buddy Holly) but certain memories and parts of my life are deeply intertwined with Elvis' music. He's the only celebrity I actively buy merchandise of.

Just how many of Elodie’s skills are even still relevant in Zorana’s time?

All her medicinal knowledge is horrendously outdated, her knowledge of trade is irrelevant now that the trade routes are gone, her knowledge of history is barely relevant now that it’s so long ago, and knowing insider information on Novan nobility is useless now that the nation is no longer a thing and all those people are long dead.

I think the social skills would still work as intended, and Faith could possibly translate to a bit of Galactic Relations, but Elodie would mostly be there for moral support.

Zorana is in an incredibly lonely situation. She's been left to fend for herself in the cutthroat world of politics. And sure, she has Vasily and Kxenia, but they wouldn't really understand the whole "Dragocen's creature" thing and whatever's going on with Eternal Radiance. It would be nice to have someone so unequivocally "in her corner" who can answer her questions about her Novan heritage but at the same time this (referring to having Elodie inside her head) is literally a Black Mirror plot. So...

I don't know if it's just me, but I see parallels between Milania and Joslyn as people who weren't able to properly be there for their daughter because of their own personal issues related to the other "deceased" parent.

I mean, if it’s the Lumen crystal’s power supporting Elodie (or at least making her semi-corporeal) she could have a lot to work with, Zorana isn’t using its full power all the time.

Also, this is an Elodie who has studied Intrigue. She could try and find the least involved way to kill Dragocen, the butterfly method, meanwhile Zorana is much more oblivious.

Elodie being stealthy makes more sense, but the image of a news anchor saying some shit like "Emperor Dragocen was killed by the vengeful ghost of an ancient Novan queen- more at 5!" amuses me.

Elodie probably hates Dragocen because of her own experiences with horrible, scheming relatives (Lucille).

She'd probably find a way to get rid of him ahead of time in every successive loop.

Make the lab "accident" an actual accident.

Though I suppose that also depends on the degree of how far your Elodie can go away from Zorana/can interact with the world, if she can do that at all.

have you seen those science videos where they 'grow' crystals? Maybe like that, although that depends on whether lumen crystals are actually crystals. It was the medieval era, to be fair, they might be something else, something weirder.

I can't say I have. Is it similar to growing rock candy?

The fact that the smaller Lumen crystals apparently merge with their users' bodies and can't actively be stolen/lost once bonded, while Eternal Radiance was kept an entire galaxy away from Milania means there may be some material difference them or that Milania never bonded with Eternal Radiance.

I'm leaning towards the former though, because Milania's lifeforce seems to be some tied to eternal radiance.

Isn’t the Lumen crystal in Zorana absurdly big compared to the ones in LLTQ? Maybe power scales with size, because Elodie definitely couldn’t destroy a palace after first connecting with her crystal.

Big enough that it needs to be carried via litter so I'm thinking torso sized at least. We don't know how Lumen crystals are made but I assumed that since they're crystals, they eventually figured out how to grow one in a lab the way they do artificial diamonds. Either that or they merged a bunch of them together into one giant one.
