To the people I once cherished as my closest friends, whom I trusted with everything I was at the time, who truly believed that we would go through thick and thin together, only to fall apart when I wasn't the strong one and needed your support. I gave you your space. I gave you that silence. I respected your decision to end things no matter how I felt, and have been working for 7 months now to learn how to improve myself so the same mistakes won't be made again.
But that's apparently not enough. You, whoever you are, went out of your way to seek out the friends I was making and spun your half truth.
But that tells me that you think about me all the time. So at least I got that reassurance that I wasn't the only one thinking of you. If only you were wishing me a full and happy life like I wished for you. I hoped you'd find peace, and escape the situations you all were in. Find your passions and pursue them even if I no longer had the privilege of watching it come to fruition.
I made my peace with that. Clearly, you still have a lot of growing to do. A lot of maturing.
But this is the last post bringing any of this up you'll see from me. Because I am moving on. You can try to drag my name through the mud, but to those who want the whole story, I'll show them all the receipts. No edits, full truth, both sides. Because I'm honest, and will own up to my mistakes, as long as I'm aware of them. Unlike you, I don't actually want to play this little internet cancel culture game. Unlike you, I can acknowledge when people make stupid mistakes and genuinely put in the effort to change for the better. Unlike you, I don't carry hate in my heart.
This is how this chapter ends. If you seek me out further, then I'll take it as a real threat. You've taught me vulnerability is taken advantage of, well you no longer get the opportunity to catch me vulnerable again. Do yourself a favor and forget me. Block me, avoid me, mute me, whatever helps you sleep at night. But come after me again, and you'll finally understand the meaning of consequence.
And to those that don't know what to make of what you've heard, my offer for full disclosure is available. I'm not painting myself as the victim or the hero, I'm giving you the honest truth and the choice to come to your own decisions about it. That's what life does, that's what it is. The opportunity to form your own conclusions and take the paths those conclusions lead you down.
But I will not be bullied. Not over misinformation without a chance to defend myself. My silence was a courtesy to you. Out of respect for the friendships we had together. So just remember that you crossed that line. You made that choice. You're not ruining my life with this. You can't. You don't hold that kind of sway over me. Like I said, I've actually put in the effort to grow and learn. And now I'm going to be just fine without you. I'm going to be just fine even if you spam every platform I'm on. It might sting a bit considering I genuinely cherished our friendships, but I'll heal. I'll get over it and move on. And so thats my advice to you. Move on. You'll live a much happier life if you do.
