Mr Brainwash partnered with Lamborghini to create a skin for a vehicle set to race at the Circuit of the Americas (a race track located in Austin, Texas).

Parris Mullens was the driver who took the Lamborghini for a spin!

Houston is Beautiful

Mr Brainwash debuted his Houston-inspired pieces on April 27th 2017 at the Art of the World Gallery in Houston, TX. 

The show “Houston Is Beautiful” will be open until 15th of July 2017.

#BossBasel

In celebration of the release of his 9th studio album, Rick Ross (newly monikered Ricky Rozay) and longtime friend Mr Brainwash came together in collaboration for #BossBasel, a hybrid party/art event.

Rather You Than Me lists an impressive roster of featured artists, from soul singers Anthony Hamilton and Raphael Saadiq to trap god Gucci Mane and everyone’s most recent favorite Young Thug. The attendance of the party wasn’t lacking in its presence of stars as well!

Mr Brainwash took time to decorate the space before the event, filling it with art installations and works featuring Ricky Rozay.

Mexico is Beautiful

In February 2017, Mr Brainwash returned in Mexico City to host a show for which he created a series of original artworks, having as the main theme the great Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. 

The artist celebrated the beauty of Mexico by creating a large mural that pictured Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, along with the inscription “Mexico is Beautiful”, now proudly displayed in the entrance of world famous restaurant Cipriani.

Stan Lee Visits Mr Brainwash

A Great Big World Visits Mr Brainwash

Ian Axel and Chad King, better known for their music duo going by the name A Great Big World, came by Mr Brainwash’s studio for a visit. Together, the three of them helped each other brainstorm for new creative ideas and ended the day with a quick, impromptu photo shoot.

Warhol x Brainwash Gallery Showing

Since his first art show in Los Angeles, Mr Brainwash’s style has often been compared to the one of Andy Warhol. 

One of the internationally known name in the art world, American Fine Art Gallery, paid homage to both Mr Brainwash and Andy Warhol, in an exhibition titled “Andy Warhol Meets Mr Brainwash”.

Trainspotting 2 on the cover of Empire Magazine

In December 2016, to commemorate Trainspotting 2, Danny Boyle’s highly-anticipated sequel, Empire Magazine commissioned Mr Brainwash to create a unique cover featuring the main characters of the movie.

Mr Brainwash Visits the White House

To end a very eventful and successful year, in December 2016, Mr Brainwash was a special guest at the White House and met with the US president at the time, Barack Obama.

Art Basel: Miami 2016

Mr Brainwash returned to Art Basel Miami once again, bringing 2016 to a close by giving the SLS Hotel’s facade a makeover just in time for the city’s biggest art event.

He also took a major part in the UNAIDS charity event with spokesperson Victoria and David Beckham by donating two artworks raising more than $250,000 for the cause.

Rick Ross, Rather You Than Me

Mr Brainwash and longtime friend Rick Ross came together in collaboration once more for the artwork of Ross’ ninth album, Rather You Than Me. This would be the second album artwork the two have worked on together.    

Last year’s Mass Appeal featured the artistic styling of Mr Brainwash as well. 

He art directed the photoshoot from which the final album cover was picked. For the release of “Rather You Than Me”, which took place in New York a few months later, Mr Brainwash created an art installation in a Soho warehouse followed a special live artistic performance.

Amsterdam is Beautiful

This was the first gallery showing of Mr Brainwash’s work in the Netherlands, housed by Wanrooij Gallery. 

The opening of the show was on November 10th, 2016 and the show ran until December.

Pulse Night Club, Orlando, FL

In honor of the 49 victims of the mass shooting, Mr Brainwash, Nats Getty (founder of Strike Oil) and The Girls Lounge came together in collaboration to create and unveil a mural at Pulse Night Club in Orlando, FL.

It was the first time that Pulse Night Club opened its doors to the public since the massacre earlier in June. The community was invited and encouraged to add final contributions to the mural, with a performance by DJ Kim And and Brendan Reilly during the ceremony.

Pelé x Mr Brainwash Collaboration

A new major collaboration took place in August when soccer superstar Pelé met Mr Brainwash in Rio de Janeiro during the Summer Olympic Games. 

For their meeting, Mr Brainwash created limited edition artworks, depicting Pelé in the middle of one of his iconic bicycle kicks - in an explosion of color and motion. 

Throughout an entire afternoon and over a soundtrack of Brazilian music selected by the former soccer player, the two painted large canvases together and added splatters of paint to the artworks previously created. 

Pelé even took the time to sign and stamp his thumbprint on each piece.

This is the second Olympic Games for Mr Brainwash; in 2012, during the Summer Olympic Games in London, the artist made his UK debut by invading The Old Sorting Office, a colossal space, steps from the British Museum. 

One of the most popular installation was the famous Olympic rings, dripping their colors, arranged with old spray cans.

Solo Exhibit at ARA Museum (Seoul, South Korea)

June 2016 marked the debut of Mr Brainwash’s spectacular solo shows in Asia.

He opened his first exhibition in South Korea at The ARA Modern Art Museum in Insa-dong in Seoul.

Large mixed media murals were on display showcasing Mr Brainwash’s iconic artwork and larger than life scope.

Some of the highlights include a massive 15ft tall wooden AT-AT from the Star Wars movie franchise, a room full of hanging vintage cameras, and a white room splashed with pink paint.

Mr Brainwash collaborated with musicians from the entertainment group YG, the label-home of K-Pop artists Big Bang and 2NE1 to name a couple, to create one of a kind artworks.

Donation to The Brain Project Fundraiser

Mr Brainwash was among the 100 internationally known artists that were invited by The Brain Project, a program by the Baycrest Foundation in Toronto, to customize their own brain sculpture as a way to raise awareness, support and research into aging and brain health.

Artists of various art backgrounds - fashion, architecture, photography, painting, performance, were invited to design their own brain sculpture to be displayed in different venues across Toronto. 

The public was invited to vote for their favorite designs and the sculptures were sold at an auction with the proceeds going to Baycrest Health Sciences for funding.

Mr Brainwash was also interviewed by The Brain Project’s global ambassador, Sarah Rafferty, for the event.

Features in “Don’t You Need Somebody” Music Video by RedOne

RedOne is a songwriter/producer who’s worked with artists like Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj, just to name a few. He has been in the music industry for a number of years, but “Don’t You Need Somebody” is his debut into the music industry as an artist himself, a song that was created and produced with Enrique Iglesias, R. City, Serayah and Shaggy.

RedOne invited a few of his friends to feature in the music video for “Don’t You Need Somebody.”

In the video, you can see Mr Brainwash lip-syncing along with Jennifer Lopez, Cristiano Ronaldo (professional Portuguese football player for Spain’s Real Madrid) and RedOne.
