The Enigma of Amigara Fault

This short story by Junji Ito is about a fault that appears in Amigara mountain after an earthquake. The earthquake exposes countless human-shaped holes in the mountain which seem to have been made about a thousand years ago. People, intrigued by these  silhouettes, gather at the site and that’s when things get creepy.

It’s about a 15-20 min read, but if you haven’t read this before, you’re in for a treat. Link above.

Thought process that I'm pretty proud of, because this worked out really well

Code names for abnormalities can be like O (original), T (trauma), F (fairytale/folklore), and in limbus M was introduced for Mythical which is what I used for CH

Classification is further specified with the second code (01 is for humanoid, 02 is animal, etc). 05 indicates that CH is an artifact

CH's damage type being pale means that most other abnormalities will be weak to its damage, so it's encouraged to work with it to gain its damage type. However, that will require at least 1 employee/clerk to be sacrificed per Meltdown level

Risk levels from weakest to strongest are as followed: ZAYIN, TETH, HE, WAW, ALEPH. I think it's appropriate for a mid-seq 5 item to be at the mid-HE level

The suit and downside to the weapon makes White damage more difficult for the wearer since the Hanged Man pathway make people insane to an extent. White damage equates to sanity damage. Despite that, a few of those EGO gifts are from White damage abnormalities because Klein's just built different

Ironically, I have Klein's final ALEPH level set as Blue Star's (Sound of a Star), which does very strong White damage. You can interpret this as how Klein can suppress CH

In case it isn't clear, the EGO weapon Graze and Devour is not the real Creeping Hunger, therefore it looks different

Abnormality O-04-66 mentioned in the managerial guidelines refers to a mushroom monster
