I took me a minute to come up with words for this special occasion.... should i tell a joke or be serious? But after all these years that's exactly what our relationship has been. We have our laughs, had a few tears, had a TON of serious conversation. Shes my protector, I know I can always trust that she'll never lead me down the wrong path. Sooo with that being said... Today is a special day for me, I don't celebrate it like it's a birthday but I don't ignore it like it's Arbor Day. On this day in 2009 I joined the military. Never took JROTC, didn't even know I had relatives that served. Nobody ever came up to me saying I should join, didn't even have a recruiter blowing up my phone. I kept it a secret that I was thinking about joining because I didn't want any negativity to change my mind. It was a great decision (in hind sight) I've met great people, seen places I probably never would've been close to seeing. Long story short 7 down 13 to go. 10/28/09-10/28/16 #IamMrDarkCloud314
