  Excellence: The quality of being outstanding or extremely good

  Everyone born in Christ is born with the spirit of excellence, We believe it's our highest honour to God almighty, it inspires people. As God's children we are instructed to do business till he comes. When we serve God, we are mandated to give our excellent best, our works must be of the highest glory.

  in second Chronicles, King Solomon built God's Kingdom, he built it with the finest materials he can find, he had the finest men in his team. he said: "The temple I am going to build will be great, because our God is greater than all other gods."What does this say to today's generation? Must we give our all in everything we do for God or must we stay luke warm, our fathers have done the work?  Solomon knew God deserves his finest efforts, he believed that his best of best efforts will not come close to capturing the excellence of God and he also knew that the temple he was building must be large and magnificent. Excellence for an excellent God because excellence honours God.

  We can never serve God "by the way", our worship should never be unprepared, our technical teams should never be out of tune with the spirit of excellence, the spirit of giving glory to God. We must give our best through our time and offering. In Malachi, We learn how God the the people of Israel offered with their least and ending up getting cursed by God(Malachi 1). Excellence honours God, good enough is never good enough when it comes to glorifying God.

  Our excellence inspire others. Unlike perfectionism, excellence is not proud, its not mean, it doesn't boast with confidence, excellence walks with Godfidence. Our excellence is what bring people to Christ! Our excellence is should be what make people want to come and taste God's greatness and excellence.

I had the pleasure of attending a workshop earlier this year, with Kim Walker-Smith from Jesus Culture. She spoke on Philippians 3:7-11. It was the first time I had actually read that verse. Kim brought it to life, using her testimony and experiences to emphasize that “nothing is as good as knowing our Lord, and everything else is pure garbage.. because all I want is Christ.”… and come what may, I’m going to do my best to live by these verses everyday..
