Nice kind of Right? Right kind of Nice?

Doing the nice things are different from doing the right things. At times, we tend to do the nice things thinking that it would be noticeable to people, Doing nice things impresses people. (Plus most of the time it's also convenient for us) Now we really want to do nice things for people, especially for people who matters the most to us, people we care about. Let's admit it, we like the way it feels when the feedback we get from doing the nice things are positive. Now this is where it gets tricky. Now doing the nice things for people or for whatever reason we tell ourselves and others... It becomes a cycle. And at times, that's the thing we mostly put our focus on.. and we sometimes defend it as doing things for people the people we care about. But these nice things are different from the right things. Sometimes when we face a choice between nice things vs right things, we tend to choose depending on the feedback that we would get. And mostly, good feedbacks are from doing the nice things. And sometimes doing the right things even gets you in some sort of trouble. After that, we tell ourselves that next time, we will be better in making the choice between the nice things and doing the right things. Until we tell ourselves that line again and again. P.s. If its too hard to go with the right things, maybe we can come up on doing both? Or finding the balance in between?

Love is Blind (hihihi)

Love is blind. You know what they say right? Because you can't really choose the people you love? I don't get it personally. I just don't. If there's something to make out of this saying is that, sometimes, or at some point, love makes us blind. Love blinds us.We can't seem to see clearly when we are in love. Or maybe we can see but chooses to ignore it and let it go. But nevertheless, some kind of blindness. We can't seem to see the bad things that people do because we are in love? Or we can't see the bad things because it is getting covered by love? Or maybe we can see the bad things but to a very much lesser degree because it is getting filtered by love? And as love fades, or gets consumed, THE bad things are now starting to pop up everywhere like playing whack a mole. And sometimes the bad things are overwhelming us because the love is not enough to filter the bad things, not enough to cover up for the bad things. I think what I'm saying is that, maybe we the both sides. We should really see the good things when we are in love, and also see the bad things when we are in love, especially the bad things, And love them! If we can love the bad things about the people we love, then that would be great. But I don't see that happening. I can't see that happening. I'm Blind.

Bad Fight

Most of the time we try to fight the bad things anywhere it may be. We try to fight the bad things about us, we try to correct bad things about us. And then we also fight for the bigger ones; the bad things in others.. with colleagues, In a group, in a team, circle of friends and family. And some even try to fight the bad things in society, community and whatnot. The list goes on and on but the bottomline is that we are fighting the bad. The Monster, The Demon, The Darkside. Fighting the Bad has a lot of different levels, different tools, approach, tactics and strategies. Some may be effective and some may be not. Who knows what will work on what? Sometimes we figure it out by trying.. and failing. And trying again. How do we fight the Bad? Can we fight the bad by doing good? Do we fight the bad by being bad? By being more bad? Outbad the bad? If there is even such a thing. There is a line in fighting the Bad, and most of us cross that line. Most of the time, the argument is we became bad, or we do bad things to fight and knock off the worse. Some of us go goes back after crossing that line, and some never look back. Maybe there is a point when you can not cross back that line and go back and they become the Bad. For good. Sometimes in fighting the Monsters, the Demons, the Darkside; we become the Monster, the Demon and we join the Darkside. When is being bad a good thing? When is being good a bad thing?

Independence Day!

Independence : Freedom from outside control and/or support. Even if we take it literally, there are still a lot of things to be argued with it. You can argue what is outside and inside when it comes to control and/or support; and we can even argue how we define control and/or support.

If we take the personal independence for an instance, every person really wants and aims to be independent. Making decisions and whatnot by youself. Yes, we are making decisions by ourselves, But how much of a factor we consider outside influences? Are those influences can be translated to a bit of control over us? How can we say that the decision we made is not affected by outside forces? And what constitutes outside foces? If we consider an outside force to be an inside force, can we consider it independece? Still? It’s really a very tricky part.

And if we are saying that we are independent off support? Really?! I don’t think we ever did a thing by ourselves anymore these days. Even if we are earning, how do we earn the money? I dont think a person can work alone and earn all by himself. Some can argue they can, but they have to prove me wrong to believe them.

Some say independence is freedom. It can be viewed that way. Freedom from what? We have freedom to make our own choice? But sometimes these choices are so limited. “You have the freedom to choose from A, B & C” and these choices are given to us, most of the time by (drum roll) outside foces! Sometimes we are free from the cage but we’re still in a zoo. Or some place like it. But we are too proud to recognize it.

If you think that you really are independent, raise you hand! And slap your face so that you’d wake up!

Ups and Downs of Towns (Chapter 1)

There is this guy who felt he needs to have an adventure, His name is Lio. He wants to find out what kind of life he should live. And where to live it as well. So he travelled all over the world to see what it offers. What kind of places he would fit in and where will he find the balance of comfort, challenge, peace and happiness.

The first town Lio went to was town Dally. Dally is a youthful town. A jolly, energetic and accomodating town, ruled by sisters. They accomodated Lio pretty well. They attended to his needs, they pay attention to his needs. They even had some entertainment for him. The sisters even competed against each other just to prove to Lio and the people who is the better ruler of the town. And Lio doesn’t want any part of the trouble, so he left.

The next town he went to was town Stails, a very quiet town. A town with simple lifestyle, where people actually care for one another, people helping each other. Where the essentials in life are the main concerns. The comfortability in life is there. Stails is very hospitable to Lio, the town always made sure that he is always happy, and enjoying his stay. The made sure that His stay there is as flawless as possible so that he may think of living there for good. But Lio thought that lofe in the town is too quiet, too still and predictable and cyclical and somehow boring.

The next town was Apple. The town was such a lively place! People are so friendly, caring, sweet and clingy to one another. They treat Lio as if they knew him already. They let them into their society and community right then and there. Lio felt welcomed and people made sure that he feels like he belongs there. He felt like he was embraced by the town too fast. But that’s when he thought that maybe the town is just that accepting, too welcoming for its own good. He felt like he’s not that kind of person. So he moved on.

He came across the town he is a bit familiar with. Daisy town. Another quiet town with a lot of positivity and joyfulness. The charm of the town comes from it’s natural beauty. People are gentle, mild mannered and composed. Daisy at times, let go of its gentleness and be more on the adventuruous and exciting side and does things that are pushing the inhibitions aside and just be happy. But they tend to go back on the more tamed and quiet side. Lio find Daisy as a balanced town. The culture in the town has some balance, the gentle side and the exciting side. But He can’t figure out the timing. when is when. When will be the gentle side come out and when will be the other side come out.

After he left Daisy, he went to a town which he knew that he’s just there to rest. A tiny town called Patty. The town has all the necessary things to maintain a certain fair lifstyle to number of people who lives in the town, but really has no charm from the outsiders to visit their town. So he passed by the town just to see what is in there, and there is barely a thing that made a mark on him.

The other town he went was a town with a tough culture. Town known as Brassle. The people are a bunch of no non-sense people. People are pretty straight forward. They always challenge each other to bring out the best for the town. Atleast that’s what Lio saw in their culture. So it made him interested in the town. But as he stay there, he discovered that the townspeople are also kind, thoughtful and people actually cares. The townspeople may not express it on the outside because they have to be strict and tough because of their culture and norms. Its a town where he can really be who he is, for the people there accepts the tough side of Lio. And if not for their culture and norms, the Town would be a pretty great place to be in for Lio. It would be awesome. Would. There is a big if and would.

The next town he went to was Minum town. It was a town that has everything that anyone would need. It has a great environment, beautiful sorroundings, good culture and nice townspeople. It has a good balance of scenery, lifestyle, leisure, and productivity. The townspeople are in a good balance of being nice, dependent and tough. They also have this system where the collect and record a file for every information of a resident, not so much of privacy anymore, atleast that’s wgat Lio thinks. Plus the thing with Minum is that they only accept that you live there for a certain period of time, and then you should be a permanent resident. After a period of time, its either you are going to be a permanent resident or you’re gonna have to leave. So he really had a hard time with Minum.

And so, Lio is still out there looking for a perfect town to live in and what kind of life he should be living. Somehow thinking, what if He just continue living from town to town and not be a permanent resident of a certain town, and just live on the road. And he even thought of creating his own town, own community, he can start its own culture, norms, systems, rules and laws.

“For there is no such thing as perfect town. All towns has its own ups and downs. You find a town where you really fit in and really like. And you make it as perfect as possible.”

All I Do is Win

The world recognize winners. We have plaques, trophies, medals, titles and the list goes on to recognize winners. All of us aims to win. That's our goal. I don't think I met someone who doesn't want to win. I think it's in our DNA to be competitive and win. And that translates to winning in life. We study, we train, we practice, we learn, we adjust, we adapt to improve ourselves to win. We do all the things we know and we can to win. And at times, we put other people in bad situations for us to win. Sometimes and for some, even most of the time we are so focused on winning. To the point that we really didn't enjoy the process. We dont mind what comes along the way, for as long as we win. When we are so focused on winning, and just winning alone, at times, some of us lose ourselves in the process. Yes, we won something! But sometimes we forget what are we fighting for. The reason why we want to win. The reason why we do everything to win. And we forgot with whom do we want to win with. And we forgot the sense of winning. Winning is awesome. But winning is beyond all those recognitions. Maybe we won a lot, but lost the few things that matters the most. Don't let that happen. Don't let the concept winning consume you.

Sight Seeing

Sight is very useful, because humans are very visual. That's just the way it is. Whether we admit it or not, we are. Yes, we respond better visually than any other senses. Maybe because its the sense that we always use, the most used out of all the senses that we have. They even say that people don't know what they want unless and until they see it. So most people always want to look good, sellers wants their products to be visually pleasing to their target market. And you always want to see a lot of people when you look good. Even some more than others. Sometimes, we only look at the things that we want to see and look people that we want to see. In short, we also choose what we see. We filter things that we see, We retain images that we like and we love. The images, the sights that made marks on us. There are things that we saw that we wish to unsee. There are things that we want to see everyday. There are things we want to see for the rest of our lives. What is it with sight? It is the first thing that we can use to assess things, describe things and perceive things, or even people. Especially people. It is the first thing we rely on for assessment. But I think the usefulness of it cannot be equated to reliability. For we cannot fully rely on our sights to judge, we cannot totally assess things based on what we see. We cannot assess people on what we see. Especially people At times we only see things that other people wants us to see, we only see what other people let us see, We only see what other people show us. Sight. A gift if used wisely, A curse if used foolishly.

Phantasm

There are things that we always play out in our heads. We always create scenarios in our head of the things that we want to happen, the way wanted them to happen.

We always imagine how those things will happen. Landing the job you really love, talking to a person that you really like, marrying the person that you really love, winning something in a sport/competition that you really love. Those things made you really excited and happy. Even if you are just playing it out in your head.

But sometimes, it doesn’t play out the way we imagine it happening our heads. Sometimes its better that we imagine, sometimes its worse, sometimes its way too worse. But the thing is, its happening. Would it rather not happen because we do not like how it happened?

Sometimes we may not see it, we may realize it, but its happening. Sometimes we have to take a step back and think “wow, this is really happening now”. Sometimes it takes time to sink in, it takes time for us to absorb that its happening. The things that we mostly play in our heads are now happening for real.

Would you just play it in your head or do it and make it happen for real?

Compromise

Sometimes we think that we can have more than what we can. We always think that we can just add thigs up on our lives. But I think, we just dont realize that by having something more, we are also losing something in return. Oftentimes, we overlook the things that we lose because we are too focused on the thing that we want to have, the things that we are having. At some point, we already knew that we have to give up something for us to be able to get to that point where we can have that new thing that we want to have. At this point, we are willing and ready to give up something to have that other thing. I guess we just have to think about what are we compromising along the way. And maybe pick up the pieces of the things we lost along the way.

About Time

Theres a lot of things that has been said about time. How important it is, how it flies so fast, the list goes on.

Some people even spend a ton of money to buy watches. Some people have watches worth a living, and some people have a dirtcheap priced watches. But no matter what kind of watch people wear, it is the time in that watch that really matters. How people spend time is what really matters.

Somehow, time is relative; a day can seem to pass by just like a minute. And sometimes, a minute seems to last a lifetime.

Some people do whatever just to make the time pass by; whether they are waiting for something or they just do so. And some people go crazy trying to stop time for them to catch up.

Sometimes people feels like time is going too slow, sometimes people feels like its going too fast. Some people doesn’t know what to do with their spare time; Some people go crazy just to have a few spare time.

At the end of the day, we dont know how much time we all get. Spend it wisely.

Mistake

People always avoid making mistakes, being on the safe side, taking the high road. Though most improvements and discoveries are product or by product of mistakes. Other than lessons learned from those mistakes. There are mistakes than can be avoided, some cannot be avoided, and there are some mistakes that we do not want to avoid. There are things that we know that its probably a mistake, but its a mistake that we somehow want to make, or we need to make. Its like we know that its a mistake, unless we prove it otherwise : by doing it. Those mistakes contributes on our improvement, development and self discovery. And in the end, we would be like "yeaah. Its a mistake. And im glad i made it"

InstaLife

They say that Life is easier today. We live in a world where we just can do whatever instantly. Its more convinient today. But a lot more faster. Life today moves faster that ever before. Like for food, we all have these instant foods, ready to eat foods aside from the fastfood chains. We just look left or right and we have something to eat already. Sometimes, the food comes knocking on our door, delivered. But those instant, ready to eat and fastfood meals are lacking in nutrients. Insufficient nutrients for our body, and even unhealthy for us.

Just like in life, I think life is easier and faster today. But its the nutrients are not enough.. Just like for friends, just sign in on facebook or whatever and you can have some friends. Instant. But there’s nothing with it really. Just like the instant food. Friendships, relationships are easier to have today just like food, its instant. And they say, easy come easy go. Maybe that’s why people tend to let go of things easily, because they tend to think that they can easily get another one. And they did not invest a lot to be in that friendship or relationship because its just easy go get into another one. Instantly.

For friendship, you can have a friend easily today. Yes. Same with relationship. Just like the foods. But friendships and relationships that are cooked in a traditional way, are much much more nutritious that the instant ones.

Past Tensed

We always have that something to look back in the past and say, what if I did something different? What difference it would make today? My answer is : you make choices, dont look back. Keep moving forward.

Some of us try to run away from our past, move on from our past. Some people find it so hard to get away from their past. Why? Maybe because they give so much credit to their pasts. I mean, they see it more than what is really was. Or maybe past is so much valued because it wont happen again? Like limited edition? So its very valuable? I really dont know.

Maybe, maybe.. We somehow left a ghost from our past, or even a monster from our past. We are afraid of meeting that ghost and monster from our past. When somehow, we are the ones who made our own ghosts and monsters. And if not resolved properly, if we don’t deal with these ghosts and monsters at the time that we should, Sooner or later, one way or the other, they are going to haunt us and they’re gonna catch us. We can be caught off guard and knock us down.

And our past plays a role in our present and will play a role in the future as well. I believe that whatever we do, will come back at us. Like karma. most of the things we do if not everything, has a ripple effect. It has an effect on the world that we live in, the circles we are in, and in our life mainly. I dont know how long before we feel and see the effects, or in what way, or how it can affect us, but there will be effects.

Let’s not wait before its too late. Do not let the ghost in your past haunt your present. Dont let the monster in your past terrify your future.

Hopesperation

They say there's a thin line between hopefull and desperation. A thin line between hope and despair. At times, its hard to tell if its hope or desparation kicking into your system. How can we determine and say that it is hope that we are having and not despair? And some of these times, our minds are clouded by some informations and even emotions that we cannot really rely on. How can we asses if its hope speaking or if its already desperation? Who's hopefull and who's desperate on who's point of view and perspective? Do we become desperate because we are losing hope? The lesser the hope, the greater despair we get? Being desperate still comes from a very thin chance that we can get what we are hoping for.. After all, there can be no true despair without hope. You put out the "when all else fail" move and action. When you keep on taking a stepback on the alley of Hope, at the end of it you will find yourself having your back against the wall of Desperation. Now either you push against it to move forward, climb it, or lie on a fetal position.

Too much

In this world, they always say everything should be in moderation. Too much of everything is always bad. But where do we draw the line? What is too much? And what is much less? Sometimes, too much for some is still less for others, sometimes even much less. How can you say that you have so much, you work too much, you're in on it too much. How do you quantify things in life? How do you quantify life? Others dont have much possesions and titles, but when they do have something, it means the world to them. Others seem to have everything in the world but that means nothing to them. Sometimes, maybe because we want too much, we dont see that we have enough? Or sometimes we dont see/experience much less, that we dont see that we have enough? I think this can apply to almost everything. Think about it.

Conquer

Most of the time, we think of going the easy way out when the going gets tough. When times are hard, we choose to the emergency exit. But overcoming setbacks, challenges & obtacles gives you such an amazing feeling of accomplishment; breaking barriers, challenging and extending your limits gives you sense of pride and purpose. Experiencing setbacks means you're onto the right path on achieving something. Means that you are going to the next level, you're trying to do something that will make you better once you go through it. Helps you build character, helps ypu get stronger, wiser, better. Setbacks, challenges & obstacles can scare us or it can serve as determination. To make us want it more. And that what makes the achievement more fullfilling. Makes us feel some sense of purpose. So when you're on a difficult situation, being pushed to the limit, what do you do? Go!

At times we cant solve a problem because we deny that theres a problem.
