getting really heavy into the backing band for one accordion-playing comedy musician is great because you'll find out that all of their personalities & dynamics are fucking wonderful but then no one gives a crap about them

you've got bermuda being the archivist & single-minded devotee of this one fucking Guy and sounding all sweet & sincere until you realize he's more intense about his job than he has any right to be. jim's delightful transformation from mullet having smug pretty bastard to chill ass old man hippie the second he started hanging out in hawaii. rubén being effortlessly charming & likeable & hilarious but also being a snark ass motherfucker 100% of the time, getting picked on by the band constantly for being the "new guy" but then you hear him talk about his keyboard setup for 5 seconds and you go "oh yeah that's right he has the most complicated job of anyone in the band & he's talented enough to do it". steve being all elusive & esoteric with his new age solo records but any time he actually says anything he's just unapologetically oozing with love for everything he does. I NEED ppl to love them as much as I do they are so hysterical & being a fan of them is so rewarding but so few ppl areee
