Totally ignoring the point of this post to ask how did he get his backstage crew to get him into that hairstyle?? I assume this is at the beginning of the show so that they can have extra time to do it, but even so, does he keep his hair like that for the whole show? If it's in the middle or end of show, how do they braid it so quickly? They don't have that much time between songs. I'm genuinely curious and want to know if anyone knows
this is the running with scissors tour (this specifically is 'weird al live! 1999'. it's free in high quality on youtube)! in this tour bedrock anthem was just over midway through the show (around 55 minutes in, and the 13th song in the setlist I believe), so definitely not the beginning. to be clear, they do not actually braid al's real hair during the tour. it is a wig he is wearing. it's why his hair texture looks like that in this song and why you can see his real hair poking out from under it in some parts of this performance (which I didn't show in this clip). though if you're disappointed at all, I know they did genuinely braid his hair into dreadlocks for the actual music video :-)
