Isaiah nodded his head, “I can be quiet.” He smiled and kissed her deeply reaching down to get her pants undone. He slowly slipped his hand down her panties running his fingers against her.

Beryl lifted her arms and allowed her shirt to be taken off. She smiled her hands traced his shoulder blades then down his spine. “I love ya too.” She pulled him into her and backed herself into the wall.

Isaiah moved with her pull, his hands not leaving her body, he didn’t want them to. His lips moved to her neck and he left a line of kisses, nipping lightly as he did. It had been a long time since they had been anything close to intimate.

Beryl hummed letting her kisses graze his neck before moving back to his lips. She brought her hands back up and started to unbutton his shirt. The warmth of his skin was always something she found comfort in. She slid the fabric off his shoulders.

Isaiah felt the cooler air hit his body as his shirt fell to the floor, he pressed closer to her slipping her shirt over her head as he did. His skin pressing against her’s once the shirts were off. “I love you.”

“Good, Isaiah I need ya.” She whispered in his ear, she kissed him deeply then separated to kiss his jaw and neck. Her hands dropped from around his neck to the hem of his jeans where her fingers hooked through his belt loops.

Isaiah moved to stretch his neck slipping his hands under her shirt and up her back, letting his fingertips trail over her skin. He could remember the first time he’d felt her skin like this, the first time he’d held her, kissed her, made love to her.

“We could fool ‘round a little bit.” She smiled into his kiss, it had definitely been a while since they had sex and she may have been missing it. She moved closer to him, closing in the little space was left between them.

With a nod of his head Isaiah spoke, “I believe I do like that idea.” His arms around her tightened a little bit, his fingers making small movements on her back. His complete focus was on her.

She looked over Julien one more time, his eyes had fallen shut. “He’s sleepin’ right now.” She turned to look at him, pausing before an idea hit her. “I don’t know how long he’ll be out for.” She stood, winding her arms around his neck and nipping at his ear lobe.

Isaiah’s eyes fell on Julien and he smiled wrapping his arms around Beryl’s waist. “What do you say we do?” He smiled and moved so he could kiss her deeply. He truly did love her with all his heart and he hated that things had been strange between them.

Beryl finished changing Julien’s diaper and gave him a bottle. “S'not like we can jus’ take a night, we ‘ave a baby now.” She murmured and ran her fingers along the child’s hairline.

Isaiah nodded his head, “I know that. There are things we can do at home while he is sleeping or something maybe?” He was trying to figure out what could be done but he knew it was going to take work.

Beryl looked back at him then to Julien. She fell silent, she didn’t know what to say. She hated the disconnection, it started the day she thought he was cheating and had yet to be fixed. She didn’t know how to fix it.

Isaiah thought for a moment, there had to be some way to fix whatever was going on between them. “What if we took some time to reconnect? Figure out something we can do together?”

Beryl began to change Julien’s diaper. She sighed once she heard Isaiah’s voice. “Do ya feel like we’ve been disconnected?” It was more of a question then anything.

Isaiah nodded his head a little looking down, “I think maybe a little. I mean we’ve had a lot going on and trying to juggle everything and staying connected is difficult yo do.” He bit his bottom lip a little.

“S'nothin’.” She said softly, shaking her head lightly. Julien started to cry causing Beryl to let go of Isaiah and tend to the child. She scooped him up and went into their room to search for a diaper.

Isaiah knew it was something. He moved into their room to watched her for a moment, “please talk to me?” He bit his lower lip, his eyes on her not sure what was going on.

Beryl’s eyebrows furrowed just slightly. She felt like her and Isaiah had been spending less and less time together. It wasn’t his fault but at this point she would choose a day at home with her soon to be husband and their son over a spa day or anything else. “That sound nice.” She feigned a smile

Isaiah could tell something was wrong, “baby what’s wrong?” He didn’t know what was going on inside her head but he wanted to know. He wanted to know if there was something he would be able to do to help the situation.

“Thank ya, baby.” Beryl appreciated it, after everything that happened recently she definitely needed it. She was almost positive Isaiah needed some stress relief as much as she did. “N’ what ’re ya gonna do?”

Isaiah nodded, “no need to thank me. You deserve it.” He gave her a slightly questioning look, “what do you mean what am I going to do? I’m going to chill at home with our son and our dog and we are all going to have a guys day while mommy is gone.”

Beryl ran a hand through her hair, it had become more ginger now. She hesitated to dye it during the pregnancy and now she just couldn’t find the time. With a soft huff she pushed herself up, just as Isaiah returned with the envelope. She took it gently and carefully opened it. She looked at the certificate, confused for just a second before reading the note. Her lip puffed out slightly “Ya ’re so sweet!” She hummed and held her arms out for a hug.

Isaiah smiled as he watched her open, “I just know you do a lot here and it can’t be easy. I work quite a bit and I want you to be able to have some time to yourself. Besides you’ve given me the greatest gift anyone could have given me. You’ve given me a family.”

Beryl gave a soft sigh, she didn’t want to let him go. Even though he had a surprise for her, just a little while longer would be nice. Slowly she let her hands slide off his neck, pecking his lips once more. “What s'it then?”

Isaiah waited until she slid her hands off his neck before he moved away and grabbed a sealed envelope. He brought it back and handed it to her, “you’re going to have to open it.” Inside was a gift certificate for a day at the spa for her and a not from him saying, I know things have been stressful lately. I want you to know that I love you. This is to help you relax. I’ll take care of everything at home while you are pampered. I love you.
