Since the start of ECQ in Manila we've been cooking our food at home with very little food delivery on weekends. Ive been seeing videos since then on easy ways to grow kitchen scraps. I tried with lettuce and ive been unsuccessful. :( I also tried growing Bell Peppers and Tomatoes from the ones we've used and now they have germinated. yey! Im hoping that they fully develop capable for transplanting though the soil where i planted them isnt the most ideal. I have another batch of seeds on a more healthy soil though, so yes, i will have my pepper and tomato plants, i will not accept a no!
When my pepper germinated (they did first) i was soooo happy. I realized that i am actually capable of planting haha so, I decided to put more effort on and bought some soil, pots and seeds online.
Now im seeing more seeds germinating (amaranth, water spinach -- they germinate really fast) and im planting more kitchen scraps (garlic, ginger, onion leeks). More seeds are arriving in few days which also include flower seeds!
These are the things that make me happy right now. It has really been therapeutic for me to check on my plants and see them grow every day. I wish to continue doing this even after the lockdown.
