feminism doesn’t end at basic rights in europe and the u.s.

child marriage still exists in ~117 countries across the world, most with a child wife.

women in afghanistan and iran are forced to wear clothing that covers them from head to toe without them having any say in it.

some countries such as afghanistan and vatican city still don’t allow women to vote.

women in afghanistan can’t go to school past the sixth grade.

eighteen countries don’t allow women to work unless their husband grants them permission.

fifteen countries legally force women to obey their husbands, meaning their husbands can practically control whatever they do or say.

africa has around 20,000 femicides nearly every year.

almost no country has complete equal rights for women.

women aren’t granted the same rights as men. they’re discriminated against in schools, online, in the workplace, etc. they’re taken advantage of and most countries don’t even care. globally, women can’t do what they want with their bodies. they can’t wear what they want, they can’t say what they want, they can’t marry who they want, they can’t do anything without some sort of law against it, judgement against it, assault against it, etc.

feminism doesn’t just end in america or europe. it doesn’t end with us just being able to vote or being able to wear what we want. feminism is for women being treated the same as men everywhere across the globe.
