Coming Home [FanFiction][Part 2]
"Hey my little angel," Deckard said softly to Lori and gave her a kiss on the pretty curly hair. For Letty, this affectionate gesture was nothing new or surprising, for she knew Deckard no differently when he was with Lori. When Lori was there he was a completely different person. A loving smile lay on her lips as she let Lori down so she could take the hand of her father. "Mami I'm hungry! Can you make your pizza-pancakes? I love them so much and nobody makes them as great as you Mami.", Lori chuckled happily and looked up to Deckard while she was playing with the ring on his finger. Letty frowned. She knew this ring but she had never noticed it before that deckard was wearing the ring. Her gaze wandered to his eyes for a moment, and she looked at him questioningly. Why he wore that thing? Actually it was a normal ring which was intended for something special and which had a twin which was smaller. Small enough to fit on her finger. Letty breathed deep again, then shrank as she feeld a hand on her back. Dominic. It was just Dominic's hand. Just. Slowly she turned to the broad-built American and looked at him. "I'll explain everything...I promise but not now. Not here. Not in front of her." Letty said softly, giving Lori a quick look. Her little daughter had this discussion which would surely be an argument. Deckard and Letty had never argued in Loris present. In general, they had argued little. "You mean your daughter don't you?." Dominic said softly with a tone that Letty had rarely heard from him. It was a mixture of disappointment and anger. Disappointment and anger!? He had no right to be disappointed or angry. He himself had a child from that time. With another Woman. "Yes I mean my Daughter." Letty looked into his face and then to her daughter who called for her. With a last look at Dom she turned back to Deckard and Lori and smiled gently. "Pizza-Pancakes? Sure I do that and you help Uncle Owen to set the table okay? We have today many guests." The brown-haired asked her little daughter and chuckled as she nodded enthusiastically and told her father to let her down. Owen stood a little apart and watched the whole situation. Letty could not tell exactly what Owen was thinking or feeling in the moment, and that was exactly what bothered her. Owen was inscrutable, and although Deckard was the same, she had no problems to see what Deckard thought. Or felt. "Good then run to Uncle Owen." Deckard smirked, looked at Lori for a moment and then to Letty. "Let's go into the house." Deckard did not listen to her words, but staring at Dominic, who stared back. "Let's go!" Letty said again, pushing him slightly. "Deckard go into the house now." She knew both men and both men were an example of unbridled temptation. This could not end well. When Deckard finally moved, Letty breathed a sigh of relief and looked at him shortly before she saw Dominic. "Let's go inside. It's safe...believe me. Deckard and Owen made it safe." When she and Deckard had bought the house at the time, it was a normal villa that needed a lot of renovation. After a three-quarter year it was then a villa which was more a safe house than anything else. At that time she was pregnant with Lori in the eighth month. Deckard had thought of everything during the renovation. The house had an alarm system like the damned military, the room doors were made of ball-strong metal and clad in wood, the windows were bulletproof and the walls so thick the bullets were difficult to get through. If you were in this house, nothing could happen to you. Except someone threw a bomb on the house and even then one was safe in the children's room. Loris Zimmer was a safe room in a safe house. The walls of the room were made of reinforced metal and Deckard had assured her that even a bomb could not destroy the room. Lorelei would be safe. Either way. Followed by the team and Dominic, Letty entered the house and looked around slowly. It was still the way she remembered it. In the anteroom hung on the wall still all the pictures she had hung up, there was still the colorful carpet on the floor and also Lori's toys lay on the bench where it always was because Lori want to be able to play in every room. "What is this?" Asked Ramsey and Letty looked up at her before she looked at a picture on which deckard, she and Lori could be seen. "My home."
