We always love learning about artist Jim Dine the week leading up to Valentines Day. The students are using mixed media to make their own colorful hearts.

We always love learning about artist Jim Dine the week leading up to Valentines Day. The students are using mixed media to make their own colorful hearts.
In third grade we learned about the plants and animals of the rainforest. We read Jan Brett’s “The Umbrella and drew rainforests of our own!
In kindergarten we learned about the solar system. The students created a collage of an astronaut on the moon. This project was great practice for our drawing, cutting, painting, and gluing skills!
In 2nd grade we are learning about architecture. The students designed their own blueprints of the house of their dreams.
It’s critique day in 5th grade! We are in the middle of our art from Japan unit. We recently learned about anime and manga and designed a character inspired by some of the clips of Miyazaki films we watched. Doing a class critique builds students’ confidence and ability to receive feedback on their work.
We are making city collages in kindergarten and 1st grade. This project provides great practice for our painting, drawing, cutting, and gluing skills!
Kindergarten clay pinch pots are being made in the art room!
The third graders learned about Notan Design and made collages with black and white paper.
Kindergarten snowy houses.
Second clay project of the year is under way! The fifth graders are making pencil holders using the coil building method.
Geometric shape robots from first grade!
Snowmen at night! ☃️ K-2
Drawing and painting the Taj Mahal today in 4th grade! 🎨
In kindergarten we read Eric Carle’s “Mister Seahorse” and made colorful tie-dye seahorses with wet tissue paper. This project was great practice for our drawing, painting, cutting, and gluing skills.
We made happy winter penguins in first grade. This project is great practice for our drawing, cutting, gluing, and painting skills!
Fourth grade terra cotta soldiers are displayed in the hallway today!
New student artwork displayed in the hallway! 🎨
