Daria M. was 19 when she promised herself that med school meant nothing to her—a backup, and nothing else. The end goal was to become an artist. That was until her father died from medical neglect, and Daria found herself working to become exactly what she'd sworn not to be: a doctor.
Now, years later, Daria is working as a resident in emergency medicine, and although this is not where she wanted to end up, it's still a place she adores—not that she'd ever say that out loud.
