Movie Date Night// Rich and Grace

Grace stifled her giggles when Rich told her that he knew what she was doing but it wouldn’t work. He looked back at the television so Grace did the same. She moved into Rich again as a zombie attacked. She looked up at him while he continued to watch the movie. Grace kissed Rich’s cheek and pulled away for a second before moving to kiss him on the lips. “Do you really want to watch this movie Richard?” Grace smiled to herself knowing that she would win this battle sooner rather than later.

Rich felt Grace kiss his cheek and he tried to look at the screen nothing else. Then she kissed his lips which he naturally responded too she pulled back and asked him if he really wanted to watch the movie. “Fuck it… no.” Rich pulled her closer to him kissing her on the lips and deepened it after awhile. He pulled a way and looked at her giving her a smile. “I love you… I suppose.” Rich got up taking Grace by the hand leading her up the stairs to their bedroom.

Grace smiled when Rich moved to kiss her after saying the movie wasn't important. They kissed for awhile before Rich pulled away to tell her he loved her. Grace followed Rich upstairs to their bedroom and closed the door behind them before kissing him again. She moved towards the bed but pulled away to look Rich in the eye. "I love you so much." She kissed him again and moved onto the bed, teasing at Rich's shirt tail.

Grace smiled when Rich said work was going well. “I’m glad, you are amazing at it.” Another gory scene came up and Grace covered her eyes as Rich fist pumped and commented on the attack. “It’s disgusting, Richard.” More gore came on the screen and Grace smiled to herself before getting up and walking towards the stairs. “I’ll be back, you can keep playing the movie.” She walked upstairs and went into the bedroom then changed into Rich’s favorite nightgown. Grace smiled as she walked back down the stairs and to the couch to see Rich’s reaction.

Rich shook his head at Grace as she said it was disgusting. “I can’t believe after all our years together you still don’t understand the intricate running social commentary and fucking genius of zombie gore. Honestly, Grace.” Grace then got up and went upstairs so Rich gave his full attention to the television screen. A few minutes later Rich became automatically distracted by the nightgown that Grace was wearing. She knew it drove him crazy. She was pure evil. Rich was not watching the screen but instead watched her sit down. “I know…what you are trying to do and its not going to work metal mistress.” Rich crossed his arms and tried to force himself to look at the telly.

Grace turned back to the tv when Rich said the movie was a bit gory. As soon as she did, a zombie attacked, causing Grace to jump. “Richard, you could have given me a warning!” He laughed and said it could be worse but said it was nice to have a date night. “It is nice. School’s been great, I just wish I had more time to spend with you and Elise.” Rich called her politics teacher a nutter and Grace playfully slapped his arm. “Richard! He is not a nutter, he just doesn’t believe in anarchy.” She turned to the tv and jumped as another zombie attacked. Grace moved closer to Rich and buried her face in his neck. She looked up at him. “How has work been? I haven’t gotten to talk to you much about it.”

Rich listened as Grace explained that school was good except being away. “Elise and I are equally as upset about that, but we couldn’t be more proud either for doing what you want to do.” Rich shook his head and then make a look as if what she said was just ridiculous. “Doesn’t believe in anarchy is part of how he is a nutter.” Grace moved closer to Rich on the couch and buried her face in his neck. Rich couldn’t help but smile to himself. He wrapped his arms around her keeping her close to him. She asked about work and he made a thoughtful face. “Doing great actually. Writing about things that are relevant and having a good time with it. Quite content.” A particularly brutal scene was unfolding on screen now and Rich pumped his fist in his air. “Proper zombies right there.”

Grace heard that Rich was home so she walked downstairs to start the movie. He said Liv snatched Elise from him and Grace giggled. “She was so excited to babysit. I think this will be good for her and Gio to get them prepared.” She sat down beside him and he asked why kind of movie to watch. “I’ll let you pick the movie this time.” Grace got up and walked into the kitchen pouring them both a glass of wine before joining him in the living room again. She handed Rich the glass and sat down as he started the movie. “How gory is this one?” She asked, turning to look at him.

Rich made a face at Grace as she said that Liv was excited. “She’s plotting to kidnap Elise and you know it.” Rich looked at Grace and then over to their DVD collection. “My choice?” Rich rose his eyebrow as he thought about what to watch. He got up and picked up 28 Days Later putting it into the DVD player. Rich took the glass of wine taking a sip of it before answering. “It’s a bit gory. A bit.” Rich leaned over and kissed Grace softly on the lips. The movie began to play and Rich laughed when Grace was surprised by the immediate attack. “See… a bit. Could be worse. This is nice… me and you. Been awhile since things have been busy. Is school good? I still think your Politics teacher sounds like a complete nutter.”

Grace was in Elise’s nursery getting her bag together to spend the night with Liv so Rich and Grace could have a date night. After her bag was packed and she was dressed, Grace picked up Elise and kissed her bye before giving the bag to Rich and handing Elise to him so he could drive to Liv’s. “Have fun with auntie Liv princess!” They left and Grace walked into the bedroom to get things ready for their date night in.

Rich took Elise and playfully flew her into her car seat. Elise giggled and tried to poke him. “Oi! Little girl none of that.” He kissed her hand before getting in the car. Rich arrived at Liv’s place handing over Elise to Liv who basically just stole her from him. “Kidnapping.” Rich waved at his baby girl and playfully scowled at Liv. He then made his way back to the apartment ready to spend some quality time alone together. Rich walked over to the couch and sat down as Grace walked down the stairs in the beautiful way that she does. “Liv snatched Elise from me. I am not sure we are getting her back.” Rich took Grace’s hand and pulled her to the couch then looked at her with a serious face. “So what are we watching? Zombie movie or a shitty movie?” Rich rose an eyebrow at Grace waiting to hear her opinion.

Grace heard that Rich was home so she walked downstairs to start the movie. He said Liv snatched Elise from him and Grace giggled. "She was so excited to babysit. Grace bounced Elise in her arms when the music started. Rich walked over to them and they danced for a few minutes until Elise yawned and Rich took her in his arms to put her to bed. Grace followed him upstairs and smiled as he out Elise in her crib. She leaned down to kiss Elise's forehead. Rich said they could keep her and Grace smiled and kissed him. "Now what should we do?"

Rich was laying on the ground until Grace told him he was being dramatic and helped him up. “I am not… .it’s Beyonce.” Rich said this while making a face. He then stood and watched as his girls danced to the horrific sounds that came out of the stereo. He smiled to himself as he looked how happy they are. Soon Grace was telling Elise to get him to dance. “No.” Elise ran excitedly toward him taking his hand in hers telling him to dance. “Elise… no.” She dropped his hand and stomped her foot looking at him. “DADA DANCE.” Rich looked up at Grace before looking back down at Elise. “Is she really bossing me around?” He walked over to his Grace along with Elise and they all began to dance. Rich bent over picking up Elise dancing with her. He then leaned over and gave Grace another sweet kiss. “We need some metal.”

Grace watched Elise get frustrated with Rich when he refused to dance. She demanded that he dance with her and he looked at Grace and said Elise was bossing him around. Grace giggled and shrugged and finally Rich agreed to dance. They started dancing and Elise jumped up and down reaching up for Rich. He picked her up and continued dancing then kissed Grace and suggested they listen to metal. "When the song ends, you can't just pause Beyonce, Richard!" The song ended and Grace took Elise in her arms so Rich could go choose a song to play.

Grace nodded in agreement when Rich told Elise the tea was delicious. “It is, princess. This is the best tea I’ve ever had.” Rich said he enjoyed this and Grace smiled and grabbed his hand. “I do too.” Elise sat down in Rich’s lap when he picked her up. She poured herself a cup of tea and made a noise indicating it was good. Grace smiled and leaned over to kiss Elise on the head. “I love you princess.” Elise reached out to Grace so she picked her up. “I love you mama.” Grace smiled and looked over at Rich, giving him a kiss. “I love you too.” Elise crinkled her nose and shook her head. “NOOO MAMA NOOOO DADA.”

Rich smiled as Grace kissed Elise then kissed him on the lips which he responded too. Elise made her protest known. Rich rolled his eyes and kissed Elise on the cheek. “Elise. I will kiss mama.” Elise shook her head causing Rich to chuckle. He looked over at Grace giving her a smile. “What does the princess want to do now?” Elise giggled and got up pointing at the stereo. “Nooooo….. I think she wants to dance to Beyonce.” Rich fell on the ground dramatically. Elise ran over to him giggling.

Grace giggled when Elise scolded her and Rich for kissing. Rich asked what Elise wanted to do and Elise jumped up and pointed to the stereo. Grace smiled when Rich said Elise wanted to dance to Beyonce. He fell down dramatically and Grace rolled her eyes and helped him up. "Don't be so dramatic, Richard." She walked over to the stereo and turned on a Beyonce song and Elise jumped up and down cheering. "Do you want to dance Elise?" Elise nodded and held her hands out. Grace smiled and took Elise's hands her in hers and began dancing around with her. Grace looked at Rich then at Elise. "Let's get dada to dance Elise." Elise called out for Rich and ran over to him, putting her hand on his. "Dance dada!"

Rich asked Grace about her day and Grace smiled. “My dance class went really well today, it was the only class I had today.” They sat there and Grace giggled as she watched Elise and Rich communicate back and forth. Rich asked why Elise thought black wasn’t pretty and Grace crinkled her nose. “Everyone knows princesses don’t have black teacups, isn’t that right Elise?” Elise smiled and nodded. “No bayack.” Grace giggled and looked at Rich then raised her cup to take a drink of tea.

Rich shook his head as Grace said that princesses did not have black teacups. “Maybe there hasn’t been a really cool princess, yet.” Elise poured tea into all of their cups. Rich picked up his tea cup and took a sip. “Elise this tea is delicious.” Elise smiled at Rich and giggled. “Yay!” He poured more tea into Rich’s cup. “I have to say… and you aren’t allowed to tell anyone this.” Rich looked over at Grace. “I like this. Tea parties with my family.” Rich picked up Elise who giggled and placed her on his lap. “You need to drink some tea too Elise.” Grab the pot giving it to her so she could pour the imaginative tea into a purple teacup. Rich picked it up handing it too Elise who too a sip. “MMMMMMMM” Rich chuckled.

Grace rolled her eyes when Rich said they should start a revolution. Then he pointed at Elise’s tea set and suggested they play tea party. “Oh I would love to!” She let Elise walk over to the table and sat next to Rich as Elise set up the cups. “What have you two done today? I’m guessing you listened to me and didn’t give her that coffee?” Grace giggled and smiled at Rich but turned when Elise called for them to play with her. Grace walked to Elise’s table and kneeled down in front of it. “Which cup is mine, Elise?” Elise pointed to a yellow cup that was in front of Grace then she looked at Rich and handed him a pink cup. “Pink for dada!” Elise giggled before picking up the teapot and pouring ‘tea’ in each cup.

Rich put up his hands resigned as Grace asked him if he gave her coffee. “I didn’t. It was tempting. But… I didn’t. In my head I did though. You can’t control my thoughts.” Rich thought about what him and Elise did today. “She took a nap. I did some work. We danced to Black Sabbath. She yelled at me for messing up her tea set. I informed her I paid for it. All in all eventful. Yours?” They made their way to the table since Elise beckoned them. He sat down and Elise handed him the pink cup. “really…? We should paint one of the cups black. I feel like that would be the thing to do. What do you think, love? You want a black cup for your tea set.” Elise hook her head. “Dada no. Cups prett (translation: pretty) not bayack (translation: black)” Rich looked at Grace. “Why does she think black…isn’t pretty?”

Rich was looking at Elise as she mumbled to herself. She spent the last half hour setting up her tea set at her small table. Rich picked up a cup before it was okay to start and Elise let him know that he was horrific for doing so. “DADA!! NOOO” Rich looked at Elise and rose his eyebrows at her. “I paid for this. So technically it’s mine.” Elise gave him a frustrated look. “DADA” Rich shook his head and put down the plastic cup. He knew she did not understand him but it was scary how she always reacted like she did. He sat on the couch as Elise continued to roam around the living room talking like a mad woman. Rich heard the door open and he looked over to see Grace who walked over to him giving him a kiss. “Glad you were let free.” Rich laughed when Elise said ‘revolution.’ Grace asked him what they should do. “Revolution you heard her.” Rich chuckled then shook his head. “How about tea party. Elise do you want to play tea party?” Elise nodded her head and ran to her small table before calling for them.

Grace's classes ended early so she hurried home to spend some time with Rich and Elise. Once she got home, she opened the door to find Elise walking around the living room in circles giggling and talking to Rich, who was on the couch. She smiled and walked over to Rich, giving him a kiss. "My classes ended early, so I thought we could do something as a family." Grace's attention was then turned to Elise who was calling out for her. "Mama mama!" Grace giggled and walked over to Elise and picked her up, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Hey princess, have you had fun with daddy?" Elise nodded. "Revolution mama!!" Grace giggled and looked at Rich. "So what should we do?"

Grace: Rich, I'm not asking my politics professor anything. This is a ploy to get me to come home early and I can't.

Grace: Why can't you two just play tea party, with her tea set from her Auntie Liv.

Grace: By the way have you spoken to Gio? Liv was saying that she's been giving him hell, she felt bad about it. Has he said anything?

Rich: I haven't I've been meaning to text him. I'll text him now.

Rich: Ploy? I don't ploy. Our daughter is now screaming revolution. Bit too angry for tea. Might need coffee.

Grace: Yes, ploy. No coffee. You know I'm starting think I should leave Elise in charge when I leave.

Rich: Okay, okay. No coffee. We miss you. Tear people down in class. Correct the textbook. Elise says "love you mama"

Grace: I miss you both. I love you princess. And you too, quite a bit.
