[Based on your Activity] text made me block a blog that i followed since forever thinking it was just a random ass blog sorry mugi
forever my favorite video on the internet
Schrodingerâs Nap: where you are both too tired to do things and awake enough to not fall asleep so you just lie in bed with your eyes closed suffering.
And that time has come once again my friends to announce this years winner of the Summer of Anime II. The points have been calculated, the ballots have been tallied and the love pillows have been glomped. And our winner isâŠ
JAY!
Thatâs right, one and all, Jay has returned to reign once more as our glorious Queen of Kawaii. Let us awe and tremble as she dispenses moe to the unwashed masses.
Our runner-up this year was Toy, putting up a rather spectacular 205 points, many coming from a swarth of Special Prize Anime. Let it never be said fortune does not favor the bold.
But the time for celebration is at hand! Let us all dance in honor of our crowned queen!
The Summer of Anime II: Final Thoughts
Well to say itâs been an interesting summer would be an understatement. Whole we were neither as dense with posts nor participants as last year, it was a great time for your humble Curator and the illustrious Arbiter, as we tried everything in our power to keep the ship afloat. Life has a funny way of making things difficult at times and there were more than a few times I put things off simply because I was exhausted, but I like to think we gave it our all. So, it;s only fitting that I sayâŠ
I think one of the more interesting dynamics this summer was watching the anime you guys picked to watch. I said to the Arbiter early on that I thought she was more popular, as many of hers came off the list early, though the ultimate mix was rather even. Still, I was surprised to see very little of the bait I threw out taken, as I made an effort this year to include some âClassicsâ just in case you had never had the chance to see them. Still, one of my favorite things is getting e-mails from you guys telling me all that you thought about what you watched, good or ill. Anime can be an amazing format, so getting to hear other peopleâs thoughts is always enriching, especially from a passionate lot such as yourself.
The other big thing was of course just trying to run this with two different people. I wonât lie to you guys, last year was very difficult for me to manage, taking anywhere from an hour to three after a dayâs work to catch all this up daily. I donât regret that in anyway, but it was ultimately more fun and easier on myself to do it this way. Hopefully, the Arbiter will say yes to a return next year. And oh my yes, there will be a next year.
And here we are at the wistful point where I must say good-bye for nine long months knowing that I wonât get to see many of you until then. But of course we do much in the off-season as well. I mentioned earlier that the Arbiter and myself, along with two others, have started up a podcast about anime which weâre gearing into a regular thing, so expect to see that crop up on this blog as posts are made. I, of course, can be found nearly constantly streaming games over at my Twitch page and if youâd like to read my thoughts on things, check out my barely used Tumblr. As for the Arbiter⊠why she has her own Tumblr to peruse, as well as a rather stellar Twitter to follow. Donât be afraid to get up with us over these or the email guys, weâd love to hear what youâre doing and if there are any good anime youâve seen.
Well then, I suppose thereâs only one thing left to sayâŠ
