Melkor stepped into the Smith’s workshop with a glint of curiosity in his eyes. He was towering and his hair long and combed–a definite contrast of how he looked when he dwelled in captivity. 

His ruby hues surveyed the younger maia; his perfection evident in his work. A sly smile formed on his lips as he continued to watch. 

“ My my.” he spoke and took a step forward. “ You are the one that Aulë often boasts about.” his tone was deep and nearly playful, as if the words fell from his lips with such ease.

            𝐇𝐀𝐃  𝐒𝐇𝐄  𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃  𝐇𝐄𝐑  𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐋  𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐓𝐒   ,      this  cruel  fate  could  have  been  avoided   .   perhaps  she  may  have  been  able  to  save  everyone   ,   even   .   but  he  had  said  the  things  she  needed  to  hear   ,   had  given  her  things  she  never  could  have  asked  for   .   𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑  𝐁𝐘  𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑   ,   he  had  stripped  away  her  defences  and  left  tauriel  utterly  isolated   ,   far  from  the  home  that  had  banished  her  and  far  from  anyone  who  would  care  to  save  her   .

            the  door  opens  and  tauriel’s  eyes  burn  with  the  sudden  flooding  of  light   ;   shackled  hands  raise  to  shield  her  retinas  from  the  onslaught  of  agony   .   tauriel  does  not  realize  it  isn’t  an  orc  with  her  next  meal   ,   until  the  intruder  speaks   .   somehow   ,   it’s  a less  welcome  presence  to  her  than  the  wretched  beasts  he  has  enlisted  as  his  servants   .   hands  fall  away  from  her  eyes  and  she  shifts  back  away  from  him   ,   as  much  as  her  restraints  will  allow   ,   and  swallows  thickly  against  the  cool  metal  at  her  throat  to  soothe  a  parched  throat   .  

            his  touch  has  the  she-elf’s  head  jerking  sharply  aside   ,   as  if  she  could  dislodge  the  colored  strands  of  hair  from  his  hold  with  the  swift  movement   ,   but  only  succeeds  in  briefly  constricting  the  chain  around  her  throat  until  she  coughs   .  ❝   do  not  touch  me   ,   filth   ,   ❞   what  is  meant  to  be  a  snarl  comes  as  a  rasp   ,   the  result  of  having  spoken  less  than  three  words  in  days   .   weeks   ,   perhaps   .  ❝   you’ve  caged  me   ,   as  if  i  am  no  more  than  a  beast   .   this  hospitality  will  not  change  my  mind   .   ❞

                    𝖳𝖧𝖤𝖱𝖤   𝖶𝖠𝖲   𝖠𝖭   𝖠𝖴𝖣𝖨𝖡𝖫𝖤   𝖳𝖴𝖳   𝖥𝖱𝖮𝖬   𝖧𝖨𝖬   ,  but   he   had   anticipated   that   this   would   be   the   welcome   recieved   ,   he   knew   how   so   many   valued   having   such   freedoms   ,   to   wander   as   they   pleased   to   any   land   that   they   wished   &&   he   had   stolen   that   from   her   amongst   many   things   .   he   wasn’t   sorry   for   them   though   ,   for   he   had   gotten   what   he   had   wanted   ,   a   forgotten   𝖤𝖫𝖥   ,   one   that   was   still   lost   even   now   ,   but   one   with   undeniable   skill   that   he   aimed   to   claim   as   his   own   .   in   time   she   would   fall   ,   a   corruption   of   her   mind   &&   soul   that   would   leave   her   very   distant   to   what   she   was   now   .  the   idea   of   it   bringing   his   to   run   lightly   over   his   lower   lip   as   he   watched   her   with   light   amusement   try   to   escape   his   touch   .   but   he   had   no   need   to   be   𝖦𝖤𝖭𝖳𝖫𝖤   with   her   anymore   ,   she   was   where   he   wanted   her   ,   with   no   route   to   escape   ,   with   no   ability   to   flee   from   his   presence   .  fingers   slid   deeper   into   her   hair   ,   his   head   falling   to   one   side   with   a   𝖲𝖮𝖥𝖳   smile   before   he   pulled   her   hair   sharply   ,   sending   her   head   back   toward   the   wall   she   had   been   secured   to   ,   the   sound   of   the   collision   echoing   round   the   room   for   a   while   before   the   silence   resumed   .   lowering   himself   to   be   on   a   similar   level   to   her   ,   another   light   tut   escaping   him   as   he   released   his   hold   ,   seeking   out   her   eyes   to   capture   them   in   his   own   fiery   stare   .  ‘   i   could   not   have   you   running   off   now   could   i   ??   though   where   you   would   run   to   ,   that   would   be   hard   to   decide   when   you   truly   have   nowhere   to   go   ,   now   that   your   heart   has   healed   from   it’s   𝖯𝖠𝖨𝖭𝖲   you   could   have   been   wandering   for   an   eternity   .   ‘   his   voice   was   soft   ,   angelic   almost   as   he   spoke   despite   the   contents   of   the   words   that   reached   her   ,   but   honeyed   words   were   his   favourite   ,   after   all   ,   she   would   not   have   come   with   him   if   he   had   not   shown   a   gentle   ,   caring   figure   to   her   .   ‘   one   day   you   will   have   no   use   for   them   ,   when   you   learn   your   place   with   me   &&   see   no   other   option   than   to   remain   .   but   seeing   you   now   i   realise   that   it   will   be   some   time   before   you   are   ready   for   that   .   ‘  ‘   𝖳𝖤𝖫𝖫   𝖬𝖤   .   what   thoughts   have   consumed   your   mind   while   you   have   been   locked   in   here   alone   with   only   yourself   for   company   ??   ‘
