Had my first solo stall at a little Christmas market my Workplace organized.

It went pretty good 😊 the potion bottles weren't a hit but it wasn't quite the audience for it i guess...

A trunk full of Heating Bats (still need to be filled)

And the Prototype of the potion Bottles (blue one got a bit bigger) those are filled with Cherry pits and can be warmed up too

I made some heating Pads again...

I will sell them at small Christmas market at my workplace in December and just wanted to show them :)

I just started my next cosplay project for ComicCon Stuttgart.

Its going to be a Loki Dirndl Variant... Mainly because i wanted to sew a Dirndl for a while now but don't like the Classic Edelweiß,Enzian and Stag motives. I butchered an old Wedding dress i got on ebay and thought the lace would be a good apron so i started googling for matching fabric. First i wanted to do a Black Widow version but black Trachten fabric leans heavily on a gray so..next option was green... I am surprised how well all my materials are matching together..this is going too well so far 🤔

A year ago i started the dirndl project and now i finally finished it.

I gained some weight over the last year and was afraid it wouldn't fit anymore... Well Lucky a dirndl is just fitted in the bust and hides the belly ;)

A few more adjustments are still to be made. Like sewing a button on i lost or assing kore glass beads to the apron.

On Saturday we have a work party at the Volksfest in Stuttgart so it will be the first official appointment for this beautiful Dirndl.

If I find some more time this week i might add a belt pocket...

He will get those nice things and some extra funds if MacTavish' did burn something important

I finally finished the skirt for my set. The whole Outfit contains a Waistcoat, a suit Pants, this Skirt and a Trenchcoat.

I inherited those beautiful Disney red cross prints when my dad passed away in 2023 and we finally managed to hang them up in our staircase. Now they joined Imperator Donald creating a beautiful art gallery feeling in my home. I got the Imperator Donald print at Disneyland Paris a few years ago as a Gift for my husband.

The red cross prints were a fundraising thing for hurricane victims in 1992 (?) i'm not sure.. only red cross members could purchase them. My dad got them as a gift from an American red cross member in 2009 when he was at the international red Cross camp in Solferino, Italy. That camp still happens every year and ends with a beautiful Torchlight procession to remember the fallen soldiers of the battle of Solferino, and the foundation of the Red Cross.

I made another Tartan Blazer.

This fabric does not like me... I had to redo the sleeve several times.. the shoulder pads didn't fit until i noticed i placed them the wrong way around and so on... The dress i made from that fabric was just as bitchy to make.... Stubborn Scott

Anyway i'm planning to do pants and a west in a wool fabric i found in a local fabric store. It matched the tartan wool without me planning it :) and i also had the buttons at home so ...yay

How do you declutter a bookshelf? What steps did you take to decide what to let go and how to organize the rest?

-First i removed everything that wasn't book (lego, Decoration, stuff i just parked there)

-Then i packt my old mangas in a big box to store in the basement

-went through shelf by shelf: is it mine? Did i buy it bc i wanted it or was it just flea market buy, double, gift from someone i dont like, books i had to by for school etc. (for Example i sorted everything out that i got for my confirmation since i'm not religious and wouldn't use it)

I had a lot of books inherited from my late dad and had to sort it out like do i have a personal attachment to it or not

After that i emptied everything, cleaned the shelves, moved boards if needed... Starting with the easy ones: cooking, drinks, travel

Then i sorted between german and English novels.

It helped to put sticky notes on the shelf with the category on it

- categorizing: cookbooks, books about Drinks/Dad, comics and graphic novels, Language German/English , special shape, hardcover, travel guides

And the language category i sorted into young adult/smut, mystery crime classics, steampunk, fantasy/sify

There were a few books i couldn't categorize so i made a shelf with rest...

It was like a 5 hours job. I did not just throw out the books. At the hospital i work is a book cart where patients can browse and get the books for a voluntary donation for the palliative care unit. The nuns at my hospital collect book donations for that. Then for the books I can't donate there we have something called "Verschenke Häusle". It's a little Hut at our recycling center where you can put stuff that is still in good shape and other people can just take it. And the cooks that are either too damaged or too old or so will go to a friend of mine who is a book binding master and rebind them or use them in other projects.
