Ok, so the greatness of The 100ā²s Season 3 keeps escalating quite quickly.
Ep 2 - kind of as always - alternated some slow paced scenes, with some very intense others. And I loved pretty much everything.
I must say I even disliked the City of Light part less than usual. (XD)
Probably because we found out something more (which kind of left me a bit worried, by the way...) and Emori and Murphy changed things out a bit.
I loved Montyās reunion with his mother (the perfect level of emotional, not too cheesy at all. Just right), the introduction of Pike (who is presented as..a not exactly easily likeable character = I hate him, so far lol), Bellamy finding Clarke after worrying like crazy (I love their bond very much, though I canāt see it as romantic. It feels like āfamilyā to me. Of course I respect everyoneās perspective) - By the way I really hope he doesnāt end up doing something too crazy (he already kind of did in this ep though XD) and also all the part that led to Mount Weather again. (aww, that scene with Octavia and Jasper T_T).
Oh, and I felt super sorry for Niylah, but not soooo much because I was kind of sure she wouldāve died...so in the end, more than anything else, Iām happy she didnāt XD
Anyway, aside from...well, the last 2 minutes, what I liked the best in this episode was Clarkeās journey with Roan. Epic!
Which, by the way, acquired even more depth after getting to know who Roan is and how he found himself going after Clarke.
From the fight to the dialogues, I liked every bit of their ālittle tripā. It was really interesting and Prince Roanās character is VERY intriguing.
Now...
Since I knew before watching that Lexa wouldāve come back for this ep, I must admit I kept feeling a bit anxious for the entire episode, because I was so looking forward seeing her.
And oh if the wait was worth it!
WHAT A SCENE. WHAT A SCENE!
This might sound weird, but I loved every single part of it, especially Clarkeās absurdly (not really) angry reaction...with spitting and screaming like crazy!!!!
It was wonderful! So meaningful. So powerful.
Even more accompanied with those expressions. (and Lexa switching from being softie when talking to Clarke, to being a strict as hell commander)
Eliza was amazing.
I have the feeling Iām going to rewatch the scene many times.
And I canāt wait to see how things turn up for Clarke now that sheās in Polis, how her relationship with Lexa will establishĀ itself to be and...what will happen when the others find out.
I mean...one minute Indra was helping the others finding Clarke, the other we know she knew it was her commander that send someone to catch her.
In this respect, maybe Pikeās words about not trusting grounders were kind of on point.
Oh my...everythingās so complex on so many levels.
But thatās why I love this series :P
And I want to see the damn Queen!!!
Ok, now, back to work.
I literally postponed working (perks of being self-employed) in order to watch The 100 XD
