These kids...

This morning at work.... So I wore makeup today (more than I did on Friday) and I waited for that little girl in my classroom. She and this 8th grad boy came in and both gasped! "Ms Calista! What is going on with your hair?!" Me: "What?! This is how it always is!" Them: "No! Last week you had it behind your ears and you looked so beautiful! Today... You look crazy." My hair is wavy.... I was going for the "beach" look... Apparently that didn't work... I just can't catch a break with these kids!

New Job, new friend

This morning at work: 3rd grade girl: UM Calista... Why aren't you wearing makeup? Me: I am! Just not as much as yesterday. Why? Should I put some more on? 3rd grade girl: Yeah, if you have it... Nobody is going to think you're pretty like that.

Whoa! Give me a break! It's Friday! Hahah this girl!!

Back to Work!

Went back to work today and what happens? A student grabbed my hand and put it up to his nose and rubbed his boogers on me!!!! Nice welcome back....

Preschool

Today at work: 1. I asked a student (4 year old preschooler) what he was planning to do for his spring break... He said, "Poop.... a lot." I didn't know what to say so he continued with, " What Ms. Ruiz? You don't poop?"

2. A little boy burped very loudly next to this little girl and I. We both said EW!! I looked at the little girl and said, " How come boys always burp out loud like that and never say excuse me?" The little boy came back with, " How come girls fart all the time and never say excuse me?"

3. We had an Easter egg hunt today and one of our girls was short 1 egg, one of my favorite little boys saw her, took one of his out of his basket and gave it to her. After she placed it into her basket, he took her hand and kissed it.

Name Change

Today at work: Little girl told me she changed her name to Starla because it's fancy, and a little boy sneezed, looked at me, then wiped his nose on my jeans.... *sigh*

My students have been picking on me all day! Apparently my ears are too big, I look tired, and I smell like a cheeseburger.... Happy Friday lol

Today at work: Little boy called me "Fat Girl" today and said I smelled like cheese :( Rude!

PreK

Today at work:

1. Little Boy described a Zombie as a disappearing man with black all over. 2. Little Girl sang "All About That Bass" 3. Little Boy hugged me and said I smelled like cherries 4. Little Boy built a car out of blocks and "drove" me to the market 5. Little Girl drew a princess eating pineapple pizza (we were working on the letter P)
