“Jesus, I can’t even keep up anymore. I need a cheat sheet.”
“i’m sure it won’t offend people at all when you go around asking them about their genetic composition. it’s a sensitive subject.”
xmoonsilk:
“You can call me Silk.” Cindy insisted, her mask neatly pulled up above her nose, concealing her identity. “And you?”
“miss sinister.” claudine also opted for her alias. “you’re not a mutant, are you?”
mcrganstarks:
“Apparently so is resurrection.”
“resurrection? i have no idea what you could be referring to.”
xmoonsilk:
“Oh, I’ve seen. It’s kind of starting to freak me out.”
“don’t tell a clone that. it’s very rude to say. we’re people too.”
bcrtonhawk:
“I’ve been a little preoccupied.” More than a little, but Clint didn’t need to go into too much detail.
“too preoccupied to notice a pinnacle of scientific achievement being reached?”
medusaliiths:
“Oh, I’ve seen, actually. Is there any particular reason why?”
“must be the multiverse. it keeps spitting new people out.”
hardycat:
“Not all of us are so fortunate.” Felicia shrugged as she retracted her claws and began to pierce through the glass, an even circle above the chips she had paid for.
“you’re right. genetics are incredibly complicated.” the mutant watched with slight disdain as felicia proceeded to cut the glass. “if only those were real. it would be so useful.”
bcrtonhawk:
“If I could have saved the trouble, there wouldn’t have been any. Duh.” Clint shrugged, not sure he was following as he set the arrows down and crossed his arms at the woman. “I’m human. We misplace stuff every once in awhile.”
“mutants also misplace things. incompetence isn’t limited to humanity.”
destroyrofworlds:
“I don’t have to prove myself to you. I’ve done enough of that my whole life.”
“to me? that almost sounded like an insult.” claudine sniffed. “i’m not sure what i’ve done to earn your ire.”
moondouglas:
“As long as I don’t encounter a third version of myself, I’ll be fine.”
“how does the second version compare?”
“clones are in. haven’t you heard?”
aprettygirlthief:
“Won’t lie, I do like a bit of chaos,” Janice shrugged, taking a sip of her drink. “But I do enjoy my own company.”
“my own time is in the lab when we process and store genetic information. the bar is for socializing.”
bcrtonhawk:
“There’s no worries, I remember now.” Clint smiled as he picked up an arrow from the bag and touched the tip. “Just some suction tip arrows. No disfigurement today.”
“how convenient. you couldn’t have saved the trouble in the first place?”
destroyrofworlds:
“Tough crowd.”
“was i supposed to be impressed by mediocracy?”
magnetiik:
“I presume you’re here for a reason?”
“nathaniel essex. where is he? he’s on the council. that much i know.”
