Dear Vagina, I'm sorry for never truly appreciating you. Or even simply noticing you as much as I do now. I am sorry. I will never take you for granted... ever again. **side note: it's crazy how much time I spend down there since testing positive for HSV2. Literally. Whether I'm having an outbreak or not, I find myself checking that everything's ok down there... even though I know they'll never be "ok" ever again.
I hope you find what you’re looking for in 2017

I'm seeing a whole lot of drama about disclosing rn
I caught hsv because someone didn’t disclose to me. (Actually he just straight up lied to my face about having it.) Why would you want someone to go through the emotional upheaval that is a diagnosis if they weren’t prepared for that? If I was given the option to have sexual contact with the person I contracted it from or not knowing that he had it and chose to continue, at least I would’ve felt more in control of my body post diagnosis.
Why would you rob someone of their ability to choose just because you’re afraid they’ll choose no?
My thoughts exactly... this creeps in my thoughts a couple times out of the month.
I really need to drink more water and take better care of my bod
I’m just so busy and tired every single day to make healthy meals and go to the gym ☹️
Same 😞
I very rarely have “why me?” moments anymore but I just got this text message from someone who has meant a lot to me for a very long time after I said I didn’t think we would be having sex when I saw him next week. I think he meant it as a joke but it just reminded me of how I come with a warning label for the rest of my life. I can never have carefree sex with someone like I used to. I want to be able to tell people and not care what they think but right now while I’m sitting in my bed crying, all I can think about how this person that I have loved in many different ways hurt me and he doesn’t even know

It’s 5:17am where I live… I’m yet to go to sleep. I just scratched the crap out of my vagina like a dog. It’s pretty humiliating. I never thought that a simple action such as scratching would bring me so much shame one day. I just finished stalking the person who gave me herpes. We were dating for a while. I won’t lie, it bothers me a bit that he just gets to go on with life as if nothing’s wrong. From my stalking I learned he went out tonight. He’s actually been out every night this week (F.Y.I it’s Saturday, well now Sunday morning). I’m sure he’ll go out tonight as well. And here I am in my self pity with an itchy Vagina that he left me with. **sigh** when did life get this crazy.
**side note I’ve literally tried everything for down there. Tea Tree oil ✔️ Olive Oil ✔️ coconut oil✔️ calamine lotion ✔️
The only thing that gives me a little relief is “Recticare” for any new people that would like some help.
Remember…
some people are born with STI’s
some people contracted their STI’s through a non-sexual nature
some people did not consent to the act in which they received an STI
some people contracted an STI even while taking precautions
some people had partners lie to them about their sexual health and history
some people did not have the same education you did about STI’s
some people just made a mistake
ALL PEOPLE with STI’s deserve the same love, respect, and healthy sex life as people without STI's
Informed consent is so so so important. Always disclose yall.

2017 1st Post
So here’s my story. It’s the 5th day of January... 2017 to be exact. In a few months it will be a year since I was diagnosed with Herpes. I spent the last few weeks of December with a “cold” and an outbreak. It was challenging for me. Being that I deal with my disease alone. I often want to give up. Here I am, going into the new year with yet another “cold”. No outbreak this time, so I’m trying to look on the positive side. This is just difficult to deal with when I spend most of my days “sick”. This illness takes a tole on my energy. I’m often tired and irritable as some of you with this illness can imagine. It’s starting to take a tole on me, having to lie to people about why I’m always “sick”. I’m starting this blog in hopes of friendship, among those who share my illness. All the while if I can shine some light on this disease to the healthy people on here, that would be great too.
Happy New Year by the way....
STOP THE STIGMA
Things that HSV is not:
Shameful
Your own fault
Exclusively Sexually Transmitted
Dirty
Disgusting
Horrifying
The mark of promiscuity
Debilitating
Life-ruining
A mark of unworthiness
100% likely to transmit every time
Un-treatable/Un-controllable
Consistently agonizing
Excruciatingly painful every outbreak
Rare and only effects 16% of the population
Impossible to contract with condom use
Impossible for you to ever contract.
Things that HSV is:
A common skin condition
Easily treated and managed with medication
Affects 75%-80% of Americans (either Type 1 or 2)
Often contracted through kissing and oral sex
Less likely to have outbreaks as you age
Sometimes painless
Sometimes no symptoms
Every time you laugh at herpes as the butt of a joke,
Every time you talk about how disgusting it is,
You’re probably hurting somebody that you care about.
Stop the stigma.
Trying to change the stigma one yak at a time
