I've learned to appreciate them even more since I only visit my parents in Canada every few months for only a week or weekend at a time. My favorite people throughout my whole life, so far.

The first 3 days of my Canada Vacation. I am thankful for my family and friends who have made all the effort in getting me out of my parents' house to see me. I love VanCity, and ofcourse, the good food, great music, and the wonderful friends that come with it. Thank you for a great welcome visit, so far!

Ignorance is not Bliss

"They speak English in Canada? Why can't Canada get it's own language, why they gutta steal Americas language?"

- SERIOUSLY?! I understand the ignorance of some Americans who don't know a thing or two about countries other than the USA, but SERIOUSLY?! It's not your fault that the education system does not further much spotlight on your neighboring country, but it is your fault for being naive enough to believe that everything portrayed in South Park (which, BY THE WAY, is a cartoon) is true. First of all, you clearly don't know how to meet people at a party. Second of all, that ghetto Mexican accent you have going on is NOT cute. Third of all, USA & Mexico would be ashamed of you because you just made an ass of yourself in front of a lady.

PS: I hope this post gets re-directed to you (Insert whatever the Boy's name is from tonight's party), maybe you'll miraculously evolve into a gentleman.

I'm just like you. An average young human being, trying to do the right things in life. I struggle with things, maybe not exactly on point as your own but it still has it's major downfall in my eyes. I've had my good, bad, shameful, & heroic moments. I've heard what people say about you, both good and bad, and I know you have too. I don't care who you presently hang out with, or who hates on you, more people should live this way. This isn't high school, this is the real world. I cannot emphasize how much it irks me that people feel they are always one up on everyone around them. Everyone is simply another person, just like the rest, struggling and managing life the way they know best. Not everyone has to like a specific music, or know specific people, or go out every night in order to make their life relevant. Last time I checked, the only person judging you is the big guy upstairs. Just. Do. You. (:

As the days get closer to becoming one year older, I can honestly say that I am exactly where I want to be in life. How many young adults my age can say the same? Not only have I moved out of my parents’ house yet again, but this time on my own in another country without them & into my own little apartment I now consider home. Not only have I graduated in Canada, but this time I am furthering my goals & back in school to get my Bachelors in California. For those of you who don’t know my story, this is all you need to know. I am living what a few can only dream of & I am blessed. My independency is my current drive & nothing else feels more satisfying than that. This is why I found my smile again.
