I love the duster jacket that came with Horse Ranch, but it's made for the male frame, and it looks terrible on female sims...I tried editing the mesh, but I couldn't get it to work, so I just cobbled together a new one entirely. I wanted it to resemble this ensemble that I used to favor back when I was still trapped in alpha cc purgatory.
Anyway, this duster jacket/vest combo will surely look fantastic on the badass women in your Wild West town!
Stats:
♢ Basegame Compatible
♢ Color Tagged for All 28 Swatches
♢ Outfit Type: Everyday • Party • Athletic • Cold Weather
♢ Found In: Outerwear or Suits
♢ Disabled for Random
♢ Recolors Allowed (Don't Include Mesh)
Known issues: the outfit works fine with most boots, but extremely wide/clunky ones clip through the mesh on the legs. I am not going to fiddle with it any more than I already have, because all of the cowboy and cowboy-adjacent footwear is compatible.
I finally made a mug to go with my Medieval Mead Stall. I lost my mind figuring out how to texture things from scratch 😭. I'm gonna add tons of pictures so you can also see how the stall looks in game.
One I teased a little while ago, that I'm just bursting to release - I know you're going to love it!!
When I was making my Police Station, I started with typewriters as the computers - but pretty much all of them had some animation issue that I didn't like; then I changed to book computers and Jane's Parchment computer - and the book computers were worse than the typewriters! So for variety, I decided to adapt Jane's Parchment computer to be a BOOK computer.
Firstly, please ensure you have @janesimsten's Parchment Computer installed - it uses the same animations.
This is Off-The-Grid, and has all the options a normal computer has, but instead of typing and clicking a mouse - the Sim is writing in the book!!!!
Perfect for the Police Station, as they have to keep records, and loads of different things in book format!
You could also imagine they are writing in a journal, or writing their book directly into a book!
I've used a new ink well, a 3d model made by Incg5764 via Sketchfab; the inkwell has four colours, and each colour has a silver or a gold cap; and each version has a swatch with papers under the book, and one without; 16 swatches in total!
I guess that's all to say about it!

@janesimsten has been very kind to me, and has helped me with loads of things in the past - so go check her out if you haven't already! She has the BEST things for my historical saves - Regency social rules, beautiful dancing, ballet, lute, harp, harpsichord, cello, FLUTE, FRENCH HORN, CLARANEEETTTTTT (need I go on 🤣)
Don't forget to also download the Parchment Computer in order to make the book one function!
A small collection of candles which I use in almost all my builds. All works off-the-grid and have candle FX.
NOW UPDATED and improved with tuning by @zeehasablog, which is sooo good at all kinds of candle and fire fx, check out his stuff!
Three options of table candles, one wall candle and two chandeliers, one small one larger.

Been watching A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms and been falling in love with my medieval savefile again!
A medieval tournament ground inspired by Ashford Meadows ready for battles and festivities. Also contains a little tent for puppetry performances iykyk
I recently decided I'd try out the Active Careers that come with the Get To Work expansion. I started the Detective Career, and quickly found the need to update (or backdate?) everything at the Police Station. Sadly, I found very little custom content that filled my little Victorian niche, so I decided to try make stuff myself! How hard could it be, right‽
Not as easy as I thought; but, here I am at the end -- ready to share with you all!
First things first: when your Sim has arrived at the Police Station, use ctrl+shift+c to open the cheat menu, type in: bb.enablefreebuild
This enables you to edit the lot - you can now go into Build/Buy. I went into the Gallery and searched for "Police Station" and chose one that I thought would fit in for the period I play, and replaced the police station already there. Now, time to re-decorate!!
The Police Station requires some items in order to complete the career tasks, and for NPCs to do their various jobs - and, I wasn't able to make period appropriate versions for everything, because some functions are too complicated to try work out how to roll it back 🫠
You will need:
1/ Reception/Security desk with a computer on it
2/ Office area with computers and a Crime Map
3/ Fingerprint/Mugshot/Search station
4/ Lab with analyser
5/ Jail cells - group and single cells
6/ Interrogation table
7/ Gym/work-out area for staff
The gaol (which is pronounced "jail" 🤣), during the Victorian-era, had received some updates, after probably centuries of very poor conditions. So, prisoners were afforded some essential comforts, such as beds, and were kept more in cells rather than chains on a wall.
Looking at pictures of some Victorian-built gaols, I put together an image of what I wanted, which reflect in these items in the set (total of 18 items):
Three sizes of glass-less barred windows (Base Game Compatible)
Prison cell bars - tall, medium, and short (Requires Get To Work)
Divider poles, where you can separate the bars, or put in corners - tall, medium, and short (Requires Get To Work)
Two types of cell doors, group and single - tall, medium, and short (Requires Get To Work)
Reception/security desk (Requires Get To Work)
Interrogation table (Requires Get To Work)
Special oil lamp for the interrogation table (Requires Get To Work)

More info under the cut!
Now for details on each item:
Three sizes of barred windows; no glass, with bars on the outside (curved out like I've seen a lot); deco slots for the window-sill, in case you want to put a light, or other decoration at the window. 8 swatches each.
‼️NOTE: there are weird cuts that come out from the curved top of the windows - I've tried various things to try fix this, but even the best creators have had this issue and are unable to fix it! If you use a wall with texture, you really don't notice it much - hopefully this doesn't deter you!!
Three heights of bars, dividers, doors. 6 swatches each.
To ensure your gaol cell is secure, and to ensure the Sims know what is inside and what is outside - always ensure the ARROW, in the green footprint, Points OUTWARDS.
The left side of the bars juts out, so there's not a random empty space between them. And you can use the divider pole however you like - but it fits nicely in the jut-out bit, as well as in corners
Each door size has two versions - single cell (only one Sim can be locked in at a time); and group cell (multiple sims can be locked in).
Next is the reception, or security desk (you should be able to use this in Hospitals as well). 11 swatches.
You need to put a computer here, for the Receptionist to do receptiony things.
There is a telephone there - unfortunately part of the Receptionist's animations is picking up and answering a phone. If I deleted the phone, the animation would still play - and a phone would magically appear in the Sim's hand; so I decided to keep it.
And finally we have the Interrogation Table and Lamp. One swatch each.
The lamp has a double wick, and a shade to try angle and direct a bright light on the suspect (Off-the-grid!).
The game's interrogation table has a lamp attached to it - you can't place anything on the table or remove the lamp. My version has ONE slot on the table, where you need to place the lamp.
I think the interrogation table caused me the most problems. Firstly, I couldn't do what the game table has - a joined lamp, the flame animations just would not work - so this is why there's a separate lamp.
Also, I discovered that, despite having ~6 different swatches, the game interrogation table only works on swatch 1. I almost didn't include it in the set until I figured out where this bit of code was, and changed it to my table.
Now it works perfectly! I am so happy!
As a side note - the detective career is so buggy sometimes, I'm astonished that none of these weird issues have been fixed, considering it was the from the first expansion pack.
Anyway, ENJOYY

It's so fun to manipulate EA meshes into new objects. The hanging bowls here are from a base game hanging flower pot!!! I want to make these work like the seasonal stalls with a custom menu of mead options.
This is an edit of the TSM fruit/veg stalls from @simverses. I wanted them all to match🤪
Junior was fun most of the time, but sometimes he really knew how to be a pain, especially when he and Caroline were alone. He would get so silly and clingy, following her around and trying to please her. Someone should tell him he was making a fool of himself, Caroline wanted to be that person, but her mother had told her that would be rude and unacceptable.
You know, there were days when she really didn’t want to be a girl, or at least didn’t want to deal with what “being a girl” seemed to mean in people’s minds. But the part about wearing dresses was nice.
"Mais coragem do que homem
Carcará
Pega, mata e come."
Of course, she definitely didn’t want to be a boy either, they were kind of idiots. Why did those have to be the only options? Couldn’t she just be herself? You didn’t see roosters and hens arguing about what each one could do. Sure, Caroline knew she wasn’t a chicken, but weren’t humans animals too? In the end, weren’t they all just creatures pretending to be civilized? Well, she liked being able to choose when to stop pretending, and sometimes that was exactly what she wanted, to stop acting like a superior being and just run through the woods on all fours, howling at the moon and eating with nothing but her mouth. No matter what the adults said, deep down Caroline knew she WAS AN ANIMAL!
Aka my first time making a whole collection, instead of just dropping things as I make them. Wowie! I feel like a real creator now. Maybe it's finally time to sell out and institute 3-month early access and join the marketplace!!!
Anyway–
I've been rewatching Anne with an E and planning a little historical gameplay-ish project, and as always the 1890s-1900s have been heavily on my mind. Today I bring a humble offering of pastoral countryside fashions - including a BGC conversion and mesh edit of the new boater hat, as well as a set of dresses for girls, and some daywear for ladies.
9 items, BGC, disabled for random. Individual item info below the cut!
Three variations of the same basic dress, for girls of varying levels of fancyness. The ruffle around the collar of the Diana dress is ripped straight from @vintagesimstress, so many thanks for her open TOU!
The Ruby and Anne dresses take their textures from Diana, so the Diana dress is required if you want the other two to work. Each dress comes in my 30 solids and 24 of @trillyke's plaids, as per usual. Located in the long dress category. The Ruby dress has had the top ruffle removed, and the Anne dress has slimmer sleeves and a less poofy skirt - because we can't all have nice things, even when we really really want them. Sorry Anne.
The apron overlay is found in rings, and it works with all three dresses - as well as possibly with other dresses, though I haven't fully tested it. The overlay for the collar ruffle won't show up on Ruby and Anne, as seen in the cover image, but it may clip with textures if you try and use it on other dresses. This overlay also comes in 30 solids and 24 plaids!
Marilla Blouse / Prissy Dress / Boater Hat
As I was making my Marilla sim for my save file, I found that I really didn't have a lot of good options for simple, plain Victorian-ish blouses, especially given Marilla's open disregard for puff sleeves. So, I made one! This is a recolor of a blouse from L&D, but it has been made BGC so everyone can enjoy! This comes in 30 solids and 24 plaids.
The Prissy dress is a combination of the ever-beloved Edwardian dress from Get Together and the ruffly top from the sleepover kit. It's perfect for tea in the garden, strolling around town, and abandoning an ill-advised marriage to go to University. It comes in my usual 30 solids with a white base, 6 colors with a black base, and 10 extra pastel swatches.
The boater hat is instrumental to the turn-of-the-century-pastoral-aesthetic, and I really loved this one from the prairie kit, but the crown was just awkwardly tall. I shortened it as much as possible, recolored it to hell, and converted it for children and toddlers. 30 ribbon colors on a beige base, plus 8 of them also on black.
To everyone who recently followed me for the Del Sol Valley texture overhaul... it's coming. It's a big mod and I'm brand new to modding and I don't know how to present my work properly yet. So like.. let me start smaller and do a recolor first 😝.
The original shirt is the Juliet Shirt by @sentate from their collection here. You need to download that shirt for the recolor to work!! It comes in these 12 swatches. <3
It's just a basic recolor but in my file only, I changed the SortLayer so that it will not be tucked into bottoms. I think it looks better that way for these textures. PRO TIP: To make shirts tucked, in CAS part make SortLayer 13000 and for untucked, SortLayer should be 16000. It needs to be done for every CAS part!!
