Ale shrugged, making a face at the suggestion. âThat takes sipping and time and blah blah blah. Just give me something strong in a shot glass, and then fill it a few times for me?â He suggested, offering a pleading expression and gesturing around their place of business. âI donât offer any subtle hints, unfortunately. They donât like hints. They want someone dumb and happy and willing to do anything they can think of to do. And if you put up with all of that shit, you get the big bills,â he explained, shrugging. It probably wasnât the best idea, hinting at the illegalities he got up to when nobody important was looking (or when he knew the important people that were looking wouldnât care). But Ale had been here long enough to know it didnât really make a difference. He brought in money, that was what mattered.Â
âYou got it, I got a bottle of Bacardi here, one of the strongest drinks.â Vivian took out a shot glass and filled it up, sliding it in Aleâs direction. She nodded as she glanced around with him. Knowing all of this far too well, âSometimes if youâre lucky though you can run into a person who likes being ordered around. Those are the most fun.â She shrugged with him, âWell you got to do what you can you know. There is no fun in following all the rules and some of the rules just donât get you the best results. You have to do whatâs best for you first.â At least that is how she lived her life and she found it to work the best for her. Â
