summerharlowe:
Unnecessary cruelty was kind of Summer’s forte, she said what was on her mind, without a care in the world whether or not she ended up hurting someone in the process. June seemed like a fragile thing, careful with her words, careful not to take up too much space wherever she was. It was cute, but in the end, it wouldn’t get her very far in life. Summer wasn’t rude intentionally, it just kind of happened automatically. “You might not intend for it to make our lives easier, but you do. Us prefects don’t have to worry about you at all.” It must be kind of boring, not doing anything radical ever - then again, Summer wasn’t radical in any way, her rudeness was kind of the only thing that gave her an edge. “I am blunt, that’s no secret. And I’m not a joker, again, not a secret,” she replied sternly, blinking just once while speaking. Already she was kind of bored by the conversation. “The day I become the queen of jokes will be the day the world has ended.”
“If you want me to cause you more trouble then say that. You seem to be underemployed - like you need something to do.” June tilted her head to the side. “Or you are just being you - I won’t claim to know you pretty well, but I guess everyone knows who you pretend to be.” June had been diplomatic for a bit and now that it felt like Summer was not even able to stay civil for a few moments she wasn’t trying to keep a friendly conversation especially not if the other seemed so hostile. “Then let’s hope you never find your sense of humor, but I don’t have a single doubt you would actually fin it.”
