More gold from the amphitheater stage
Ginkgoes this morning in light fog.
Eurasian Red Squirrel/ekorre. Värmland, Sweden (November 1, 2025).
Will sitting on the ginkgo bench while the leaves are gold stop the world for a few minutes and fix you? There are only a few days to find out. The frost forecast for Friday morning should bring the rest of the leaves down. 💛
Värmland, Sweden (October 18, 2025).
television peaked here

as an archivist I am begging you
put dates on everything
don’t believe digital stuff is preserved forever - if it’s really important (documents, photos, etc) print it out
name your files accurately I know it sucks but please
don’t destroy the original just bc you scanned it
rubber cement is the devil’s adhesive use photo corners and quit gluing shit
you will NOT remember write it down
if you staple things to the inside of a folder I will find you
your public library probably has equipment to digitize old media for free or can at least get you connected with somewhere that does!
heartbreaking: well intentioned person who needs detailed instructions to function is giving extremely detailed instructions to person who gets overwhelmed with large volumes of information

“My next great adventure, aged 90, is going to be dying. There’s either nothing or something. If there’s nothing there’s nothing, that’s it. If there’s something I can’t think of a greater adventure than finding out what it is. I happen to think there is something because of the experiences I’ve had, because of experiences other people have had. Very powerful ones.”
~ Jane Goodall
RIP One of the good ones.
