This is my journey into the competitive world of mtg. Magic The Gathering. I played when I was younger way back in 94 yeah that long ago. My daughter reintroduced me to the game and it is all her fault. I figured I would share some things about my take of the game and what I play.

Mtg showdown Tuesday night

8/21/18 Splashed some black in my red deck wins. Took 3rd. Gotta make a few changes the meta is changing at that store. Control is making its presence felt. My daughter placed 5th I believe.

Another mat I like this one I won during the store standard championship at my lgs. I was and still running my reddeckwins. I'll post a deck list later.

Someone asked what kind of playmat I was running. This is one of a few I run but this is my favorite.

8/14/18 Tuesday night showdown canceled due to flooding. Daughter and I are disappointed. But that gives us time to tinker with our decks.

Took my daughter to another standard mtg event at our local game store. We both tried different decks she placed 2nd and I placed 3rd. 8/9/18 Thursday night standard.

8/7/18 Went to standard showdown at my local game store and placed 3rd. Not to bad for a old guy. My daughter placed 6th.
