📆 49 Years go Today: November 28, 1976 - Daytona Finale 250 Miles: The #59 BMW 3.0CSL driven by Peter Gregg lasted just 14 laps before a DNF, finishing 51st overall. Gregg had already wrapped up his record third consecutive IMSA GT drivers' championship (beating his own streak with Porsche/BMW), and BMW Motorsport had claimed their inaugural manufacturers' title. 🏆

49 Years Ago Today: November 6, 1976 - Kyalami 1000km: 🇿🇦 The only two race-bred BMW E12 530 MLEs took to the track. Homologated via ~227 street-legal siblings, these beasts weren't officially badged M, but they were BMW's first true M cars.
