New to the comic? Continue reading this post for some answers to questions you might have!
How close does the comic stick to Terraria? - The setting is Terraria, the story is original. This comic uses Terraria’s world as a prompt, not a blueprint; the further this story goes, the more it will diverge from the actual game.
What’s the point of this comic? What’s the focus? - The early pages are clearly meant to be slightly comedic, but the comic quickly becomes somewhat more serious. This is a lore-based comic! The point is the story!
Who’s the target audience? - If you like worldbuilding, overambitious lore, and stories that build up over time, this might be for you! If you haven’t played Terraria, you might be missing a bit of background knowledge, but overall this is just a semi-original amateur fantasy story. Oh, and while this comic isn’t particularly inappropriate, it definitely isn’t meant for children.
Who are you? - You can call me DK! I’m just some enby girl whose imagination keeps getting the better of her. I speak English, Français (allegedly), and toki pona. Message me @dkpsyhog on Tumblr any time~
What about asks? - Early on I experimented with askblog-style interaction with the characters, but it didn’t really work. Feel free to direct asks at me though! I love recieving asks, regardless of whether they’re actually questions. Ask me for behind-the-scenes details, clarification on lore, or just tell me what you thought of the latest page, or anything else!
How do you make the comic? - I use three programs: tModLoader, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I mostly build the scenes and make the characters in tModLoader, screenshot them and edit them together into individual panels in Photoshop, and arrange the panels and add dialogue bubbles in Illustrator.
Can I make my own Terraria sprite comic? - Not only can you, you should! Please go ahead and make your own stuff, we need more creators in this fandom! Ask me for advice if you’d like.
Hey folks, sorry I've been missing so many pages! There will be a new page today, but it'll be a bit later than usual as I'm still working on it... about 1 to 2 hours. Thanks for your patience!
No page today, things are busy for me as usual... Oh, and happy new final update to all who celebrate! I'm excited to use all the new building materials and furniture sets in future comic builds ^_^
