                  this surely was an odd situation.  when they were given tickets to the amusement park, it was hard to just flat out say no when kusanagi was insistent on them going.  sure, aoi has spent a good amount of time with yusaku lately studying and watching shows, but this was different.  it was in public, with people around every corner, and since it was just the two of them it probably seemed like they were a couple.  well, an odd couple who never really spoke up or got close to the other.  

                   as they walked by the fair games, her eyes instantly settled on the water gun game and it's prize, a big linkuriboh plushie.  her pace slowed down and her hand reached out to pull on yusaku's sleeve before he got too far ahead.  

                     " i'm going to play this.  do you want to join?  i can pay for it- "  // @makesplays

                                   he’s surprised her response is so nonchalant; normally aoi strays from any sort of affection or intimacy ( not like he’s one to talk ). then again, she is the one who initiated it. he hasn’t seen her do anything like this just because she felt like it. could it be that she’s becoming comfortable with him? he hasn’t done anything worth that kind of trust, though. 

                                                   “ it’s fine. ” he glances over and can’t help but notice the pink on her face. his eyes quickly dart back to the very interesting spot on the ground. the feeling in his chest isn’t panic but he isn’t sure he likes it regardless. “ … i just … don’t understand. ” yusaku can’t think of three plausible reasons she’d want to hold his hand all of a sudden, let alone one. 

                         well, she didn't really have an answer to that.  feelings were something she often shoved so far down, there was no way she understood either.  she just did it because she wanted to...  for once, she did something she wanted and not what other's wanted from her.  unable to think of an answer, she simply let go to not make it awkward.  

                         now her hand awkwardly rested at her side as she nodded.  " right... sorry-  i don't have an answer for that. "

he wasn't really paying attention to what was playing on tv, instead more or less drifting in and out of sleep as he sat next to aoi on her couch. he thought he overheard something about vrains on tv, which reminded him of the event he'd heard about from takeru. he hadn't planned on attending, of course, but when he sat here with aoi, he almost felt like a normal teenager, so he asked, " are you participating in the halloween event this week? "

                        it had become a habit, yusaku coming over to help her with homework she missed and then the two spending time watching tv.  that was the closest to normal the two could get in a situation like this.  they tended to fall asleep eventually and this time it seemed it was his turn to fall asleep first.  she perked up, hearing him speak up.  

                         " ...yes.  blue angel is set to make an appearance-- "

                         who would she be if the dueling idol herself didn't make an appearance?  plus, it would be a nice distraction from the other things going on with the ignis'.   her head leaned over, gently resting on the other's arm.  this was a comfortable close, not too close but no longer miles apart.  

                          " if you weren't... you know-  i'd ask if you'd like to match costumes... maybe... "  // @makesplays
