Day 3 - Traversing . At this point the excitement was at a record high. I knew that my brother and cousin (they both can be seen in the picture traversing the mountain) saw what was on the other side of the pass, but i never asked them as I wanted to witness and enjoy the view with my own eyes. I wondered if they saw Izmis Dand (lake) from there. Along with excitement there was another feeling, one of happiness as I knew that once I arrive at the top, we can have a longer break and have some food as-well. . Day 3 - Cow Love . Not only did we witness a ‘Bed Cow’ but we also witnessed some cow romance at almost 4000 meters. They weren’t really comfortable and felt a bit insecure when i approached them but as soon as they saw the camera in my hand they were really happy and posed for a candid 🙃 . Day 3 - The Ascent . This was the longest and toughest day of the 4 day trek. We had to cross 2 4000+ meter passes this day (Jiri Kando and Janser Kando). We started the hike from Jahaz Banda, Dir and had to camp for the night at Izmis Banda, Swat. A long journey awaits! Ps. This in not a great picture but it shows how steep the ascent was. After every few steps we stopped to catch our breath. Day 2 - Jahaz Banda - Horses of the Wild . Right before the sunset, as we arrived at Jahaz Banda after trekking all the to Katora Lake we met these guys. They seemed pretty hungry as they wont even respond to my greetings and contently ate grass for a good 10-15 minutes without a break. In te mean while, I along with my friend was busy admiring the the presence of these two dudes and discussed how beautiful the pictures we took were obviously because of the presence of our new friends. Day 2 - Katora Lake - Shifting Shades 3/4 . The lake itself was so stunning and the different colours and contrast was an extra treat. The turquoise colour you see at a the far end is because the waters are rough at that particular point therefore there is no reflection over there.
