Not all men!
Yes but enough men that every girl is terrified of smiling to that guy on the bus or talking with the boy in the coffee shop. Every girl has been walking late at night at one point and been afraid of who might be following her. Every girl has referred to someone as a “creep” and every girl has refused a drink from someone she doesn’t know.
Not all men.
But enough men that all women are now afraid of most men. It’s gotten so bad that we have to be afraid of even telling you we are afraid. We can’t ask that you please stop talking to us. Because if we do we run the risk of being labeled a “stuck up bitch” and blamed for murders and rapes in which we are the victims.
So we speak to you with body language that we hope you’ll understand. We cross our legs and look out the window and wear giant headphones that are giant signs that subtly read “DON’T TALK TO ME!” But you insist on ignoring those signs because you have it in your head that our body language doesn’t mean anything. That our bodies aren’t our bodies.
Not all men. You can start fucking saying that when all women can stop being afraid. But that’s not gonna happen if every man a women opens up to about this issue dismisses her by saying “Not all men.”

Elaine Kruer was able to watch a mother carefully move her cubs to their den. The process was very special and a reminder of how gentle nature can be. “When her grip began to slip, rather than tighten her grasp, she would lay them down and use her paws to reposition them ever so carefully,” says Elaine. File under: Things I did not expect in this month’s Cosmopolitan, but I am quite impressed by. Now if they could write a little more about it that would be great.
(Also if someone who was asexual could actually confirm this is an appropriate and nice response, because I’m assuming it is.)
As an Asexual (not that I speak for anyone, but since you asked, I’ll gladly pitch in my two cents), I think this is a great response! c: Also good that they throw in a site for further education, since there’s different kinds of asexuality.
As an asexual as well I am definitely agreeing with the above. The information and wording in that response was very well put and I’m incredibly proud of Cosmopolitan for doing so. :)
You remember that post about the homestuck t-shirt design contest collaborating with hot topic? And how Hot Topic are the biggest art thieves? This is recent. As you can see above, I stumbled upon Hot Topic’s website and they are selling a very popular fan art put on a t-shirt, and did not ask permission from the original artist (rismo).
This shows Hot Topic still continues their art thievery. Hot Topic are still taking art from artists without their permission. This is disrespectful and appalling.
