Uhh lowkey pacifiers should be normalized. They're really good especially for oral fixations, like I have.

Internet Safety PSA

Content Warning: this post talks about bullying, harassement and SA, including that of minors

While the majority of people on the internet is perfectly nice, there are some not nice people on the internet. By statistical chance you will interact with bad people at some point. While the absolute worst case scenarios where someone dies are very rare, they still happen, and there are a lot of other ways someone can hurt you. You are not magically protected from bad people because you are nice, because you are a regressor or because you have a DNI It is very important to remember that people can lie and hide facts about everything. Lying on the internet is very easy.

While there isn‘t one magic trick to prevent bad people from interacting with you at all, you can take measures to not paint yourself as a target to predators and measures to not give bullies extra ammunition to use against you. These include but are not limited to: 🩷 Do not post your age (this allows predators that are after a specific agegroup to single you out) 🩷 Do not post identifying information like your legal name, your adress or your school (this allows people to connect your real life and online identity) 🩷 Do not post photos of yourself nude or in a state of undress (there are a lot of creeps and predators looking for images like this and it is nearly impossible to wipe these photos out of existence again. If you are a minor, in a lot of places these photos -even when you voluntarily took them yourself- are classified as CSEM which is illegal to produce, poses or distribute) 🩷 Do not post photos of yourself where you or where you are is identifiable (this also allows people to connect your real life and online self and it is also possible to create fake nudes from regular photos) 🩷 Do not post list with your exact dislikes, squicks and triggers (this tells a bully exactly what to send you to upset you) 🩷 Do not post vulnerable details about yourself, like your detailed medical issues, your trauma or your bad living situation (this gives predators a blueprint on how they can manipulate you) 🩷 Do not respond to hate comments that you get (this signals bullies that you are a entertaining target)

If a bad interaction has allready started there are a ways to stop it and damage control: 💚 You are always allowed to exit a conversation or interaction that makes you unconfortable 💚 Do not respond to hate comments, disingenious asks, weird dms and similar things. Delete them after you got them 💚 Block people. Blocking isn‘t evil and you are allowed go block people and blogs that make you uncomfortable, even if nothing „serious“ has happend 💚 You can filter both words and tags on tumblr. Use that feature liberally 💚 Talk to a trusted friend or a trusted adult about what happend 💚 If it happend in a discord server, group chat or similar setting, tell. Mod or Admin 💚 Restrict who can dm you or disable (anon) asks if you are dealing with repeated comments 💚 If it is a longer/more serious interaction, take proof (for example screenshots) of the interaction. (Important exception: If CSEM was involved in the interaction, do not screenshot or save it)

Staying safe online can be difficult and bad interactions are very scary when they happen and there are lot‘s of bad examples in the agere community but you got this!
