My headcanons?

Well I think everyone agrees that Mugman would be protective of his partner

Me personally I don't think Mugman would date someone who doesn't get along with cuphead or dislike him

They HAVE to get along with cuphead

Otherwise it's a no for him

Of course he is a romantic guy

Despite being one of the collectors he'll try to make every date PERFECT the most romantic date possible

If you don't know about him being a collector he'll probably try to hide it from you

Yes he feels guilty over keeping a secret so important that it could put your life in danger

But he can't lose the one person that makes him feel normal

(no offense to Cuphead but he ain't exactly sane)

Also you have to be patient with him

He went through so much so it'll probably take a while for him to show any physical affection

He'll make it up to you with acts of service or gift giving

But trust me once he gets comfortable be prepared to be cuddled A LOT

Overall he's very sweet and cute boyfriend <3
