A few things to keep in mind while signing an artwork: 1: Does the signature go with the script? Not all scripts can be combined into an proper artwork. Any artwork that has multiple script from different styles are usually pieces to showcase the scripts and not meant to be an art piece on its own. That's why you don't usually the Thuluth script or Nastaliq script with the Maghribi Script. So having a signature that compliments the artwork is very important. 2: How big does the signature need to be.
