Echo was not rescued by Cassidy. She was not in stasis for long enough for the Deadlock Gang to actually find her so that she would need rescuing. The "Echo Project" had been tracked the very moment the first file was "securely saved", so that if the progress made was not considered satisfactory... The unit could be liberated.

When Overwatch fell, those that had watched over the Echo Project decided that the unit going into stasis would be wasted. And that they did not feel the application of an autonomous and hyper-intelligent machine was appropriate; just... Letting her go free, to learn, to exist?

No. Better that she was appropriately contained, trained, programmed, what-have-you. And so, long before anyone could have found out from a friend who knows a guy who knew an engineer who knew a guy...

Echo was abducted. Remodelled. Reprogrammed. Reclassified.

The 3 'R's gave her new owners an idea. Maliciously, they kept her name... Almost the same. Now, she is the 3-CH0.

3, for the Rs. C, for Covert. H, for Hunter. And 0? So confident were they in their changes that they boldly stated that the '0' implied a zero survival chance.

Nima took a deep, sharp breath when she saw down the barrel of some poor soul's sidearm, freshly reowned now with a much more violent handler. Still, Nima's camera kept rolling even while she muttered her pleas in her mother's mother tongue—Arabic. Her breathing came controlled, though fear presented itself proudly. With a free hand, the woman presented a token; brandished was the seal of Null Sector, in front of the badge on her armor that marked her as press. The token, odd as it was, a gift from an old interview years ago that launched a pro-omnic movement with McNally as the spearhead.

"I am no fighter." Nima spoke shakily, "I'm just a reporter."

The hand raises as it prepares to fire at the next disgusting slab of meat that crosses its path, the gun precisely aimed. But the finger that is mere microns away from sealing this young woman's fate is halted, precisely kept on the trigger. There is a moment where it thinks it should just blow her head open too... But, there it is again.

A loose thread in the back of its head.

Reporters are not targets, says a voice that is not its own, So make sure you steer clear.

"You will provide identification." Comes the demand, "Personal and professional. Do not keep me waiting, human."

The disdain for the other is palpable. The threat is very clearly implied, what with that finger still on the trigger that does not so much as twitch or tremble; neither ending nor saving a life. Precise. The trigger finger of someone with more hours firing weapons than anyone or anything should ever have.

Ana's still in there.

The flickering of the A7K's personality seen in-game is much more severe for this version of the A7K, which isn't made using a shoddy copy but having actually and violently scanned the brain and body to maximise absorption of skill.

As a result of that there are times where Ana comes back, where she can front and control the mechanical body. But there is never any telling how long the swap will last, no telling how much she can see and understand and keep in memory for the future.

The rare moments she's had thus far have been spent suffering severe mental trauma, remembering not only the suffering she'd been forced to endure but also the truth of the matter; she is dead, forced now into an Omnic prison not of her making nor choice.

She wishes they'd just killed her.

This is worse than anything she's endured.

It moves like the wind possessed. One minute the soldier has his sidearm ready to fire, ready to blow out one of its four visual sensors... The next he's disarmed and dead. Already dead. Swift, like the wind possessed, it has him dead and falling to the ground. The crack of a bullet from the stolen sidearm promises that one more will fall to the ground and a third & fourth promising more bloodshed, more death.

Abducted by Null Sector's search & destroy drones the legendary sniPer is taken to an OmniuM and torturEd; brain scans in the hundreds, torment & torture to elicit memory & misery for the sake of their ultimate weaPon.

EventuaLly her body & brain is usEd beyond the breAking point. Null Sector initiate the final Step of thEir plan, initiating a full diSmantling Of her body; brain, nervous systeM, musclEs et al remOved aNd examinEd, in order to provide the most accurate simulation of the woman formerly known as Ana Amari possible.

A simulation that is then uploaded into a specially made Omnic body; the A-7000 Wargod. An Omnic sniper without peer, set loose unto the world in an effort to tear it down and subjugate human filth.
