With her band, she began to dominate a genre full of men, winning numerous awards in her lifetime. She began her career as a child with her siblings with their father as a mentor. The longevity of her impact after death is outstanding. Although, I wish she was still presently with us. Stuart Hall mentions that “identity is constituted not outside but within representation”.
