Scenes from the Sabu and Ichi pilot film based on the original Shonen Sunday run of the series. This pilot was made before the series was moved to the more adult-focused Big Comic magazine, which resulted in a drastic change of style, with a more realistic, gritty look to it. The redesign would become the standard for Ishinomori’s historical/jidaigeki manga, including Henshin Ninja Arashi. But the original pilot made by Studio Zero captured very well the overall aesthetics of Ishinomori’s 60s style.

lol i have this silly headcanon that if astro boy and uran and joe shimamura met officially they would both act like long lost siblings. i think its cool if they ever make a animated crossover event they would be the best sibling dynamic ever. it makes sense knowing the creator of cyborg 009 being an assistant under tezuka.

I made a story about Black folks and their queer identity , validity of it in different ways and doing what I can to show Black people deserve to be in diverse fantasy stories and loved . No more disposable Black girlfriends, no more questioning of Why Black people are in fantasy. So many black stories center black pain...let's tell a story of black adventure , romance and magic.

And No more ignoring the queerness of those in bi4bi relationships or those with nonbinary identity.
