Evolved 1 shiny and my best IV regular to be ready for the Johto Celebration Event to get Dragon Pulse on them and noticed...What is wrong with shiny Flaaffy’s eyes?!
So I’ve never participated in a Raid Hour before because I’m not really a big raid person (especially ‘multiple people necessary’ legendaries since I’ve been playing by myself up until recently) BUT. With the quest requirements of catching 2 Groudon and 2 Kyogre to yield a Rayquaza encounter...I couldn’t pass this one up! And let me tell you it was WORTH IT.
No shiny Groudon or Kyogre, but I did get a SHINY, DEX ENTRY, Rayquaza which is definitely going in my book of crazy PokeGo things that happened to me...oh and a 98% Groudon too I guess but that’s insignificant in comparison to my gorgeous boy!
December Com Day shinies (Part 2) including a bonus lil’ pink friend at the end!
Again, all shinies I already have MANY of because I did all the original Com Days. The Wooper was a nice surprise though!
Oop this is late posting but! All my shinies from December Com Day (Part 1) including a Weedle I got the night before!
I participated in all the original Com Days so these are all duplicates for me!
Although I ran out of quests WAY before the event ended (time-wise), which was a shame (I wanted MORE!), I technically did get one of everything!
I would’ve liked to get more shinies since I didn’t have any of the Nidoran family shinies going into the event, but my luck got used on two 100%’s instead so I suppose I shouldn’t be complaining!
A little late posting this (oops!), but the Home event was very generous with new shinies! 3 within a 24hr period to boot!
After the Halloween event gave me mostly duplicate shinies, I was very happy that all the shinies I got from the Home event were new for me!
Magmar Community Day haul! Managed to hatch the shiny baby this time around, so my total shinies for the event is 27! Which I think is a new record for me if my memory serves!
Electabuzz Community Day haul, including a little shiny dumpling that wanted to fit in!
I wasn’t able to hatch a shiny Elekid (unless it’s in the final 2km egg I still have from Com Day), but I’d much rather the shiny Makuhita anyways!
It seems my bellyaching over only getting shiny Cubone so far from Animation Week paid off because the last day of the event certainly made up for it!
The Wurmple and Exeggcute were both wild spawns but they came on almost back to back checks (I think I only checked one or two other spawns in between)! And I’ve been hatching 7km eggs like my life depended on it for shiny Riolu and I was finally rewarded with a golden boy on my second to last egg from the event before the event ended!
So with Animation Week in full swing I’ve been shiny hunting Scyther, Pikachu, and Riolu most notably. What do I have to show for this event so far however? Two shiny Cubone; one wild spawn, and one hatched from a 7km egg ON THE SAME DAY (today).
I appreciate the shiny luck but I would love to get something I don’t already have, given that I had already completed the shiny Cubone line before Animation Week even started...
With the Halloween event officially over, here are my shiny grabs for this year!
Ended with 9 total shinies which is wonderful- but at the same time the only shinies that were new to my collection were the Drifloon line so I also feel a bit jipped...I really wanted Yamask or Spiritomb but they weren’t in my cards I suppose.
Well, Alolan Marowak Raid Day (AKA Halloween) was a HUGE success if I do say so myself!
Got 4 shinies, and a bonus 100% Aerodactyl!
Brought home 3 shiny yellow balloons today!
First one came from a Field Research task, and the other two were wild spawns!

All the regular shinies were wild spawns, and the shadow shinies all came from Jesse/James!
My spoils from Charmander Com Day (The 2nd)! Ended with 24 new yellow boys and girls! (None of which are any good, sadly)
And while extra shinies are always a bonus (I went into this Com Day already having 7 shinies of this family), I was mainly on the stardust grind! I’ve spent pretty much all of it already, but I managed to rack up roughly 300k stardust during the event! Some of which I used to max out my two best ‘Zards!
