Please help a young disabled queer artist pay bills after pet loss

hello everyone. I recently had to say goodbye to my best friend in December and it has been really hard on me. I am about 7 thousand dollars in debt due to his medical care because he was hospitalized three times, and his ongoing treatments were expensive (I live in one of the most expensive states in the US and he had to be seen by specialists). I paid for most of his care and supplies with my leave benefits but I often fell short and had to use my credit cards. I have plenty of proof of my expenses in receipts and statements I can send.

I became unemployed right after losing my cat because my employer did not want to give me accommodations after my medical leave. I can't really get unemployment because my disabilities limit what jobs I can apply to. I'm also not eligible for cash assistance because I don't have children and I'm not applying for Social Security (they would limit me further).

I am hoping to get between $400-800 a month to stay on top of interest. I have to pay off as much I can of 3 thousand dollars by May because they will charge me interest after that.

Please help in any way you can, I know times are hard for many people so reblogging and sharing my GoFundMe anywhere you can would help a lot. With such a high goal I need a lot of reach.

I enjoy making art of animals and animal characters and other nature subjects. I'd like to offer $1 per minute in 15-20 minute slots because I need to challenge myself to finish art more quickly.

These would be flat simplistic digital art pieces or ink/colored pencil drawings. More depth and complexity can be added with more time. You can go through "my art" tag on my blog to see some examples of what I make, I can't dig through stuff to attach them here currently. I can send more examples if you need them.

I don't think I posted my gouache pet portraits but that's something I like to do also. These would be a higher price, because they take longer. I would like to offer more in the future when I have things set up officially like sewing patterns and finished plushies or quilts so if you are interested in that, please follow me.

But Larian decided that they wanted to go all in with the details and they delivered!

The flower you can place on his tomb in the final romance scene (which I think is such a cute and tender gesture and I love his reaction to it), seems to be an Ornithogalum umbellatum, a star-shaped white flower with six petals. Among the plant's many common names, there are summer snowflake, starflower, and star-of-Bethlehem.

Moreover, in the language of flowers, its meanings are related to trauma, mourning, and welcoming pain without repressing it.

According to Doctor Edward Bach (1886 – 1936), these flowers are "For those who find themselves in a state of great anguish due to situations that, in a given period, have caused so much unhappiness", and can be used to help with the aftermath of a trauma, the alleviation of pain and the mourning process.

I didn’t realise this until adulthood but handmade birthday piñatas are the apex of parental devotion. I spent the week cooking for my ravenous teenage cousins and felt a bit crestfallen at times that I was spending so long making something that was going to disappear within minutes—but with piñatas it’s so much worse, they exist to be savagely maimed. Year after year my father asked his kids what shape they wanted this year’s piñatas to be and he spent weeks painstakingly making them in the basement after work, only to watch a bunch of oversugared bat-wielding kids gleefully destroy them in less than 10 minutes.

I mentioned this to him and he said he remembered researching tarantula anatomy for the giant spider piñata I asked for when I was 4, trying to make the fangs the right shape and to cut the crepe paper into very thin ribbons so the thing would look appropriately fuzzy, and I was like “and I don’t even remember it because I was four!! spending so long building a beautiful object only so your kids will have fun destroying it, knowing they won’t even remember it, is such a selfless endeavour” and he said “my other motivation was that you said you wanted the spider to look real & scary so the kids at your birthday party would be terrified of it and you’d get to scoop up all the candy and I wanted to support your slyness & ambition”

A co-worker of mine was standing outside with me during a break from customers to share a cigarette with me, and told me about how he had lost his brother that he was close with some years ago. He told me about how they used to be in a band together with some friends, and how ever since he'd died, he hadn't played any music because he'd been too scared and anxious. I told him about how I'd lost my brother to suicide some years ago.

I went home and pulled out an old tiny wooden box my brother had given me before he'd died. I'd been using it to store guitar picks I'd collected over the years, including one guitar pick that used to be his. I haven't played the guitar since he'd died, my hands are too small to play some of the chords, so I play bass and piano instead.

I went to work the next day and gifted my brothers old guitar pick to my co-worker. I told him that it'd been sitting in a box for ten years unused, and would probably sit there for longer if I kept it there. Told him that I thought he deserved to have it, because I bet he could put it to better use than I ever would. Told him I didn't feel like it was coincidence that me and him would cross paths with each other in our lives, and that it seemed suiting that we had these similar experiences but split in two halves. That somehow, I felt like he was meant to have the guitar pick. I told him that I knew he'd not played guitar since his brother died, but that if he ever decided to play again one of these days, maybe he'd be able to honor both of our brothers by using that guitar pick.

He almost cried. He thanked me. Then he went home that night and for the first time in years he played the guitar.

I don't know what the meaning of life is or what my purpose is, but I do believe that love and human connection is one of the most important things in life. It's finding ways to tell strangers you love them and share experiences with others. I think it's all just about love.

You are joking, but the soundtrack to httyd is considered as one of the most influential classical orchestra creation of our time. With the amound of motives repeating across the whole movie where each motive has multiple variants depending on the plot of the story we are talking about a full 2 hours long symphony that holds a story on its own. If you have seen the movie before, give it a listen as a whole and i guarantee you that you will be able to keep up storywise just by listening to the soundtrack.

turns out they climb trees too. Like regularly. they tend to do it a lot less once they reach certain sizes, but like several crocodilian species turn out to have a whole development period where they spend a lot of time in trees, and we just never knew that until like 2014 because, understandably, nobody who was studying them thought “i wonder if I should look for a bunch of crocodiles up in the trees”
